not so much terrible as bland and forgettable, while the books are anything but.

'tombs' is a little decompressed, especially in its first half; thats all. i still like it quite a lot.

i actually do find the hair and make-up on this show terribly distracting. i know you want to keep the characters glamorous, because this is escapist teevee, not 'the road'. but shows like battle star galactica or lost really did a much better job with the 'fucked up yet glamorous' styling.

i think it was a pitchfork review that remarked that clare sings like he doesnt want diplos & switchs production, and they produce like they dont want his vocals. that articulates perfectly why i cant get myself to like that song.
