Just FYI to those interested, both ABC & Freeform are going to be live streaming Ariana’s concert tomorrow.

Ariana is a good cat.

I’ve practically begged people to read it. It’s an amazing piece of research.

I loved that book, and it made me an even bigger fan of Wonder Woman and helped explain some of the weirder aspects of the early comics (all the bondage). Also, I found it interesting that the two women continued to live together for decades after William Marston’s death.

Another nod to female villains in the Marvelflix series: Madame Gao is one of my favorite villains of the past few years. I love her so much.

Mike Pence: “Stop worrying about unimportant things like climate change, and start thinking of new ways to oppress the gays!”

“Why doth the peasantry fret so o’er this ‘Black Death’? ” ~Lord Pence, c. 1350

“For some reason, this issue of Native Americans has become a paramount issue for General George Armstrong Custer.” - Lt. Mike Pence, at the outbreak of the Battle of the Little Bighorn

Pence is Evangelical. I know a lot of Evangelicals are hopeful that Armageddon will happen in their lifetimes...

“For some reason, this issue of smallpox has become a paramount issue for the Natives.” Colonist Pence, 1616

We have a few reasons:

“For some reason, this issue of icebergs has become a paramount issue for the passengers.” Captain Pence, 1912

I mean, it’s only going fuck over our kids and grandkids, amirite? Honestly, who cares, right Mike?

“For some reason, this issue of atomic bombs has become a paramount issue for the Japanese.” - Mike Pence, circa 1945

I know! Like what kind of SCUMBAGS actually like the Earth and want to protect the environment!? STUPID LEFT!

For me, the Hope Superman represented was inviolable, as was Batman’s unwavering refusal to become the criminal. He never crosses the line where he takes a life. I’ve recently read the Injustice comic series and seeing the extremes Superman goes to is amazing, but the film version... he wouldn’t have let his dad die,

That is too sane for this show.

“no matter how many essays they write to justify Batman being a homicidal maniac who only spares the lives of people who share the name as his mother.”

It was so very good. I went not having read the comics and didn’t really watch the show. My husband filled me in on the backstory on the way to the theater.

Everything was great, the acting, the directing, and the story. They knocked it out of the park in my opinion.

Not being a movie person, I was bribed with

I was super excited about Dr. Poisen. Not only do we need more female heroes, we also need more female villains. Especially because her superpower was her mind. She was the smartest person on the enemy side. Could’ve done without Ares being an old white dude. Etta stole my heart.
