Guessing would require being able to describe the metaphysical realities of the Fargo universe, and I'm not about to go there.

There's "bee stung" lips and then there's "beast tongue" lips. Lisa Rinna I'm looking at you.

I think we can agree I am a terrible person but once in a while that's a good thing.

Yep, that was how I took it: how a teacher would go about correcting a poorly-written sentence in Latin, but with swords.

I really don't know. I have my beard year 'round so it's very difficult to tell what difference a beard makes.

Maybe you're right. Could've used a Matt Smith throwaway line when they're returning to the TARDIS, about "the portal's reduced to nothing more than a crack in the universe, nothing can get in or out, except music".

I've never taken Latin, but at least some of that tracks with German studies (for example, some prepositions are dative if stationary and accusative if motion). Those guys were / are geniuses.

Three things bothered me:

Agreed. Just wanted to point out that the school seems to have addressed the legitimate components of the parents' stated concerns, leaving only the illegitimate ones.

Hey Mortal Man — happy birthday!

I watch a fair amount of crime TV, and I can't say I ever heard that. Not that I'd believe it if I did. The common thread in all those crime shows is that it makes our legal system seem fundamentally just, and that is a stretch. If they're saying that blacks and whites have different rape motives, I'd first wonder

I can understand that young (white) children may have trouble grasping what is going on and what BLM is about and why it's not about being unfair at all. But that's why you sit down and explain it. You use examples for comparison. You show them the "all houses matter" picture and let them work out what's wrong with

Boom, boom, boom, boom *whistle*
Zip zop zoobity bop! It's Biiiiiiiiiiiiill Cosby!
And I'm gonna slip a pill to you
And I'm gonna grope me a breast or two
I'll have some fun now
I'm pullin out my wang
You're passed out on the sofa

Nah, nah, nah gonna have a good time
Bang, bang, bang!

Bill Cosby is not Cliff Huxtable. But sometimes, Cliff Huxtable is Bill Cosby:

Adam West's career tanked after "Batman", and for a long time he was remembered, if he was remembered at all, as the butt of a joke. But the Internet has become a place where celebrities stay in contact with the public and retain (or if need be, regain) their humanity in the public's eyes. All reports are that Adam

Also, Wrench let whatshisname live. Remember how Ray Wise said in the bowling alley that they decided Wrench deserved another chance? I guess Wrench isn't the heartless killer he used to be. He'll still kill if threatened, as we've seen. But he'll also let people live.

I never thought I'd look forward to Mr. Wrench, but now I see him and smile.

We will see next week, but this is shaping up to be my favorite season of "Fargo". First season worked its way to its logical conclusion; second season sort went on until it ran out of things to talk about. But this season just might be building towards some actual ideas about truth and lies, temporal injustice and
