It’s an SUV based of a hatchback platform, so it’s a crossover.

It’s called a Split Tailgate, my 11MY XC90 has it, and I love it. Too bad the new one ditched it. You can sit on it, stand on it, stops your stuff from falling out on inclines and looks cool. There are actually quite a few cars with a split tailgate, heck the Smart ForTwo has one!

Come on guys, you could have easily engineered a front bench seat in there. Small and not very comfortable I know but that’s the exact same thing with 2nd row bench seats.
