I highly doubt that’s the reasoning, the practise is dying off but a few years ago nearly every model in Toyota’s lineup wore a unique badge.
That’s precisly what the Breeze is, it’s so that GAC-Honda can have a “different” lineup of models compared to Dongfeng Honda.
