Over simplification. They asked for both, they were only given a choice of Griner (or nothing). What does Whelan deserve it when Griner does not?

Honestly, I’m surprised. This level of tactical calculation feels like something out of Mitch, I didn’t think she was capable of it.

This feels weird. Like that Corvette thing was a real leak but these are either a) ridiculous to make people discount the first rumor or b) all of them are intentional to see an initial reaction?

Millions of people travel to Russia from all over the world every year - even during the build up to (and after the start of) the Ukraine invasion, people were travelling there for work. Exposure is a big factor in people’s tolerance level; its not entitlement, its a shifting of calculation.

She played in China and Russia previously. Having travelled to Russia frequently for business prior to 2020 , you won’t see anything they don’t want you to see. First hand experience often trumps other sources of info.

And I don’t want to discount your list of offenses so I won’t. But nothing on that list keeps

Its good you are taking the high road with this.

It will take time for VB to rebuild a network (even with Russian resources at play) and this is not a proxy war like in Africa or the Middle East which allowed him to thrive in the shadows; he has knowledge of how to move equipment and broker deals but Russia isn’t exactly being secretive about their purchases and

Its still victim blaming - Russia is a big country and unlike China, relatively “free” on the surface (they just had the world there in 2016 for the Olympics without incident and this was right after the Crimean annexation).

Being there for work and being just a basketball player of little consequence in the grand

Also, the victim blaming of Griner instead of the very much needed realization that evil people are evil

In regards to 2), I’m having a hard time reconciling Mr. “This will be awesome” cozying up to (or getting much of an audience with) the current administration when Brightdrop or Ford exist.

He could have made it and said nothing and let the critic/fan duality argue out the merits but like every auteur he has got some opinions.

Victim blaming a 7 year old is “getting hit by a car driven by God” level offense.

Are there customers for that many units when drivers are already at a premium? I don’t know what turnover is and you still need charging stations for these.

Watching Taylor continue to rake in the money and move up the list of total album sales has got to hurt Kanye’s ego meanwhile I doubt she’s given much thought to him considering where she is at this point in her life. The kid is already Hall of Fame material and she has really only gotten started.

Besides the obvious (who wants to advertise on a site that is no longer screening for child exploitation, violence against minorities, or other atrocities) it takes a reasonable amount of planning for advertising to go live; its not just a tweet, its a change to the algorithm targeting specific users. Handing that

I sincerely doubt that he knows what the cult is or the meaning. He just googled something strange at that was in the images.

The BMW subscriptions have been widely derided to the point that other OEMs internally decided it will not be an option. What you will most likely see are subscriptions built in as a cost for the first 3-5 years, transferrable to the next owner, that will shut off after that time period. That way the first owner rolls

Good on them. Lots of people shit on the use of the name, the look of it, the range and the performance.
