It’s a Honda with 68k miles, it didn’t need any of the things they listed, and certainly doesn’t need them to pass a state inspection.  They just saw a sucker in a tight spot and made some quick cash.

This is rough but, it’s the truth. It’s one thing to be writing about a subject you aren’t an expert in. It’s quite another to write about an incredibly stupid and naive thing you did, and try to tell a readership who for the most part are experts in the subject you’re writing about that it wasn’t stupid or naive.

Let they who are without mistakes issue the first correction. It’s a small mistake — it is definitely a GMT 900 based (correct) “Yukon”, not a 360/370-based Envoy. From the video, it looks almost like a re-trimmed Avalanche.

If it’s a lot of miles in a short amount of time it could make sense... maybe. It’s all because of the unlimited miles your allowed in a rental. The more miles you drive it then lower the per mile cost. If you rent for a day or two and drive it 1000 miles round trip, then a rental will make sense.
