Tesla does not believe the facts justify the verdict, she wrote, but acknowledges that the company was “not perfect” in 2015 and 2016. “We’re still not perfect,” she added. “But we have come a long way.”
Mr. Diaz leaving the courthouse:
That’s one hell of a judgement. Get em.
“Let me ask you a question framed specifically for a targeted response. Oh, you see that coming and don’t like it? Let me try to rephrase it again so that maybe it will slip by this time. Oh, you called that one too and you’re not thrilled about it? I feel shaken and that was weirdly uncalled for. It’s not like I was…
You ought to see the other guy.
she was just kidding. he offered her a job and she took it.
Hasn’t she interviewed dictators and fascists? People who have legit killed people. But Denzel is the guy that spooks her? Hah. She should try Samuel L. Jackson next!
If Katie Couric was so shaken, why did she persist with trying to ask the question in different ways? When exactly did she realise she was shaken?
So, in other words, business as usual. “Last hired, first fired.”
Now that Trump’s NDAs are falling apart in court, maybe the arguments that govern other corporate NDAs can be addressed and some folks “in the know” might be able to share more stories from HR about what happens with hiring processes and why people of color seem to get the worse outcomes when hiring is concerned?
A year after the country’s recession due to the COVID-19 pandemic slowed down, America’s economic recovery continues to be unequal in regard to race and ethnicity.
This story only makes me admire Denzel even more; do not suffer fools gladly, it will only be to your own detriment.
Remember that time Denzel Washington received an Oscar for Training Day instead of Malcolm X or Cry Freedom? In his acceptance speech, he looked around and said, “Yall niggaz ain’t shit.” Okay, I am paraphrasing but he is so over consolation prizes and patronizing journalism.
Yeah, hard to believe that would be the heaviest she has ever been unloaded on in a professional environment. Asks and insulting question and gets a perturbed reply? Surprised she didn’t pass out.
...But Lauer is a man you miss dearly and want to send words of encouragement to? Bitch, shut up
Without a video for context, it kinda sounds like a person pushing back against being reduced to a “hollywood folk” or “just an actor” and letting her know he is a person with his own thoughts and feelings.
I don’t know any background on this outside of the quote, but I read it as her stumbling around a topic and Denzel cutting thru the BS. She should feel shaken b/c she flubbed up in either starting a dialog or raising controversy.
This didn’t go well for her when it happened the first time, why the hell would she want to bring this mess up so she can get dragged a second?
And she’s still sticking up for Matt Lauer.
