I remember only really hearing and being concerned about it after he selected Sarah Palin as his running mate. Then, it wasn't about HIM being too old generally, but about him being old enough to die naturally of age and leave us with HER.

So, "I'm not comparing them to Nazis, I'm just comparing them to the people who became Nazis." Yeah. Not any better.
Sorry I'm late to this, but people aren't discirminating against gun owners. They're discriminating against people actually taking guns into their restaurant/business. Like "no shirt, no shoes" rules are discriminating against people coming into their business naked.
Also, GoldieBlox sued them FIRST, probably in an attempt to do exactly what happened, which is bring them extra attention and drum up sympathies. Honestly, the whole mess put me firmly on the side of the Beastie Boys; it made GoldieBlox look really underhanded.
I will watch the hell out of this.
Loofa. I feel like I would suffocate in the Sweater Monster.
This is my new favorite picture of ALL TIME. I'm thinking of replacing my laptop's desktop with this photo. Or, maybe my phone's wallpaper. (Currently a map of Middle Earth and the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, respectively).
Microwaved White Castle burgers and a diet Coke. I might have a chocolate Cadbury creme egg for dessert(better than the regular eggs, less good than the orange creme ones).
I would if I knew them. But, now that you know, you can tell them instead.
While the Bystander Effect is very real(and likely played a large part in this story), the stories of the callous witnesses to the murder of Kitty Genovese has been greatly exaggerated.
Maybe the original owner was compensated by the museum for the missing painting when it went missing?
My parents married after 3 months and they're still together over 30 years later.
How is it a rip-off of a story (in the public domain) that they specifically acknowledge as their inspiration? The Little Mermaid was also a Hans Christian Anderson story. Many others are based on Grimm stories, etc. That's not what "ripping off" means.
They had a PSA after the episode. The episode itself, as it stated at the beginning, was not about how Finn(/Cory) died, but about his life and his impact on the lives of others. Making it a "teachable moment" about the dangers of drugs would have been gross and exploitative.
I actually prefer the (very) slight emotional distance that lip-syncing gives. I feel it would have been far too exploitative to force them to "sing their feelings" live. They're already grieving with and for us, we don't need it any more real than it already was.
I didn't quite cry through the whole thing, but I cried through a lot of it. I actually lost it the most in the scene with Romy Rosemont; it was just devastating, to me.
Is Kinja being weird or did you delete my comment? I'm honestly not sure, but I don't see it in the thread anymore?
This "I'd also think that this was clearly an chronic issue and the parent was too damn lazy to actually keep track of their child and decided letting them wander away and retrieve them when they got a phone call was a better idea" is an asshole thing to say, as well as judgmental. So, you're being a judgmental…
I love how you seem to think that the library is the same as DisneyWorld. Also that parents aren't using these as an extra precaution in busy areas, but rather using them in lieu of watching their kids.
I'm not sold on Armie Hammer as Illya, but I'm sort of giddy about Henry Cavill as Napoleon Solo.
