I think they already exist? Or someone was trying to do something similar? It confused me. Plus, I don't usually do book signings so it wasn't much of an issue for me.

I don't get the hate on for technology, especially ereaders. But beyond that, I have access to the world of information through my phone. How is that a bad thing? I get curious at the slightest thing, out comes the phone and wikipedia. Boom. Knowledge.
I've heard great things about the Nook.
That's how I feel about 90's era historical romance novel covers. The ubiquitous Fabio-style hero and overflowing bosom of the heroine always makes me want to facepalm. Modern covers tend to be less...lurid.
Options are the best!
As much as I love my e-ink reader, I think more people will be reading on things like the iPad or the Fire. E-books do not need an e-ink reader, and tablets will likely be the more common device in the future for reading. I like my e-ink, but I read a lot and appreciate its long battery life. Someone who buys the…
I would love this! I love the way books look in a house. Not that I'd have the space for more of them. I have, literally, about 20 boxes of books in a basement right now, because I have no room for them. When I can afford to move out of my parent's house, I have no idea how'll I'll fit them all, since I'll likely be…
Yeah, I mean, I'm not hoping that cover art goes the way of illuminated manuscripts, but books have adapted to new technology everytime it comes along. It'll adapt to this, too.
I like this line of thought.
Unrelated to the article, but related to some of the comments, I fucking love my Kindle. I had a first gen a few months after they premiered, and got a K3 about 2 years ago after I accidentally broke my first one and it rarely leaves my side. I thought, at first, that I would miss the "feel" of paper, but I got over…
It's not Christians sharing their POV on gay marriage that get them "shown hate", it's that they actively work to make sure it can't happen in the SECULAR sphere that is the issue. Me marrying a woman will have no affect on your religious freedom. You preventing me from doing so sure has an affect on my freedom,…
Thanks!
I thought you had to be turning 16 the year of the Olympics to compete? Or is that just gymanastics?
Oh, no! You were fine, I was just expanding on my view. It's good that Arizona is changing, it's just that it's not changed yet! And neither has Florida! America as a whole still needs a ton of work, and I don't mind saying so (and neither does most of this blog, haha).
And even he didn't step in BEFORE she was forced to comply. What, he couldn't take him aside after the first demand? He had to wait TWO hours?
I did actually know that! (yay me?)
"When a person receives Christ as Saviour, he is receiving Christ as a lover." I guess it's okay to be gay when Jesus is your lover.
As a former Floridian, I think they should make fun of Florida as much as possible. I'm so happy to be out of there. Also, if Arizonans want people to stop dissing Arizona, they need to stop electing Jan Brewer. When Florida voted for Rick Scott or against marriage equality, I had no problem with Florida being labeled…
Well, who Walling is is pretty relevant to the discussion, since he's the guy that started the whole mess, and it's his connections and attitude that likely influenced his lack of punishment.
That would hold more weight if Rene Walling was some random, awkward nerd. He was a columnist for Tor.com, had co-chaired other conventions, and was known to be 'charming' and friendly. This has nothing to do with socially awkward "pervs". This just has to do with the same entitled attitude that women have to put up…
