Except I agree with him and I’ve never owned a home in my life. (Well, technically I own my dad’s home and he has it in trust for me until he dies, but that’s not the same thing and it will never be a rental while I own it.)

I would wish to rent. Unless I can own a home that someone will come and deal with fixing when things like the hot water heater break, I would wish to rent. I don’t want to deal with that shit. Not to mention that there is no way to guarantee that everyone will be able to afford to fix those kinds of things.

I can understand wanting to change things so landlords aren’t allowed to charge outrageous rent or make a ton of money off their property and something to make sure they actually treat renters right and fix things that are broken and all that good stuff. Reforms.
