I watch all my shows for the week every Saturday. Then I go to the recaps/reviews on them and I comment and reply to comments no matter if it’s been 1 or 6 days. I don’t care. People actually respond to me, a lot, too (or, did before being gray meant no one could find your reply to them.)

I didn’t mean to come off as “not all nurses.” I was just saying how I can’t imagine doing something like that if it wasn’t something I really wanted to do because of the really awful stuff you have to put up with to do it. I don’t understand people who are willing to hold a bed pan under someone while they shit and

I wasn’t there when it happened, so I’m not sure how it went down. I do know he wasn’t on death’s door, they were just talking about amputation of the toe and possibly the foot (this did not end up happening, thank goodness, and my dad is fine now.) It is possible he was so grumpy the nurses asked the doctor to let

I live in a small town in Oklahoma and we have a Walmart and a locally owned grocery store. Thing is, the locally owned store doesn’t have near the selection that Walmart does and there are some things I get that I can only get at Walmart unless I want to drive 30+ minutes to go to Reasor’s.

It always reminds me of the military. I can read what they wrote down that they gave me, but I really do not know what they gave me in basic training. Because we all lined up and ran the gamut of people giving shots. I’ve also had two thirds of the Anthrax vaccine, which they stopped forcing us to take (unless we were

Wait’ll she finds out she has to wear a mask while spraying for pests or risk serious health issues.

My dad had to be in the hospital for about a week when he got an infection in his foot (he has diabetes) and he talked the doctor into allowing him to take smoke breaks. (He’s 76 and smokes half a cigarette every hour or so and he has emphysema.)

To be fair, it’s a lot harder to quit smoking than it is to go get a vaccine. I had to use Chantix to quit and that is so very much not for everyone. (It caused a friend of mine to have extremely vivid and violent dreams--of him doing the violence. And it can cause suicidal ideation, too. Like, not just a slight

I have several friends who are nurses. All wonderful people. I know a lot about what they do and I can’t even imagine doing it unless I really wanted to. I mean, I’ve been in the ICU and I know what they have to do. It’s got a lot of gross stuff.

Shit, I’d be asking if they were vaccinated and if they said no asking for a vaccinated nurse. I don’t want unvaccinated medical personnel working on me. Fortunately, all the hospitals in my area started requiring vaccinations a month or so ago.

I feel like we had a parallel journey to the left. Palin was the last straw for me, but I was already pretty upset with the way things were going on the right.

That’s probably because it was called an emergency brake for a long time. You call something an emergency brake, that’s what people are going to think it’s for.

My grandmother was in a really bad wreck with a semi in a new (at the time--this was about 4 years ago) Lincoln Navigator. It was totaled and the pictures of it would lead you to believe no one survived. However, she managed to walk away without any broken bones, even. She was really sore for a while, but she’s also

That was amazing and made me smile so big. Thank you for sharing it.

That and all the “Ross was really a horrible person” takes are getting so tired. Find something new to say.

Her grandmother. “So, if anyone asks, I’m 70-something old lady.” (Is what she told Joey in a flashback episode to before the show started.)

You know, once I read that (about them having the intelligence of a 2 year old) it all made sense. I can 100% see that in my dogs. And pretty much every dog I’ve ever met. Maybe that’s why they’re so loveable while being simultaneously frustrating. (I just had to give all the dogs their flea and heartworm medicine

How are zombies the “fad of the moment?” I mean, Night of the Living Dead came out in 1968 and there have been zombie movies all over the place since then. Not to mention a show that’s been on for over 10 years and it’s spinoffs.

The movie isn’t too bad if you let yourself think of it as completely separate from the book and pretend it has a different name. But, I’ll admit I knew it was going to be completely different before I saw it.

I second this. Those are fantastic books. I wanted more.
