There are several books that were completely taken out or never put in, too.

I’m going to leave the other stuff alone because they are winless arguments, but “no need for depression”? Depression is very often a chemical imbalance in the brain (as are many other mental illnesses.) Which is why medication works.
Actually, churches are not taxes because it is expected they will take that money and use it to do good works (like helping the homeless, the poor, etc.) so that the government doesn’t have to (not that they would in this day and age, but that is the original reason.)
If the God described in the bible were real, he most definitely could stop people from being stupid, he just chooses not to.
This is why all those apocalypse movies/shows with so many horrible people bullying all the good people (think The Walking Dead franchise) are wrong. Most of the people who didn’t bite it in the original event would perish from starvation or the elements or both becaue they’re just too soft and stupid to be able to…
No, *they* created the antagonistic relationship, not you. Please don’t put that on yourself. They are selfish. They care more about their “opinions” than they do about the health of members of your family.
I know of at least two people (talking about people I know. I think there are others I’ve seen in the news) who had severe neural damage and had to learn how to walk again after covid.
That’s the thing, though. You don’t have to have a severe case to have issues later on. They are already finding people who had mild symptoms who have damage to their heart and lungs.
Because not taking the vaccine because of potential lont-term effects makes them feel smarter and superior to people who are just lining up for it.
I swear, people who say, “I have an immune system” piss me off. I suck at science (took biology three times in college and eventually settled for geology. I can’t remember all the stupid names for the gazillion parts of the body and all the names for all the stuff in DNA.) Anyway, I suck at science, but even I know…
You’d be hard pressed to find a police union contract that allows the officers to actually strike. (That’s why they have things like blue flus—they all call in sick. They aren’t technically striking.) Public safety employees are generally not allowed to strike.
“...being in a military uniform.”
The real problem with hate crime legislation is that it pertains to motive. You get a hate crime enhancement because you say the perpetrator did it out of hate for the group that the victim belongs to. The problem is, motive is impossible to prove. Oh, you can show evidence that points to a particular motive, but…
Man, you watch some crappy documentaries if that’s what you think they are.
Every documentary and piece of decent journalism I have watched/read will have something pertaining to the participation of someone who is alleged to have done something negative and is still alive. Either that person gets a chance to speak (Scientology: The Aftermath had letters from Scientology responding to most of…
This is what they did for the I’ll Be Gone In The Dark documentary. The woman who read Michelle’s written words sounded a lot like her, but it wasn’t her. And it was fine. I felt her words came sufficiently alive with another woman reading them.
Except a lot of bands between then and now were influenced at least partially by Bruce Springsteen, but literally no bands (except maybe Brian Setzer and his bands) in the 70s and 80s were influenced by the music of the 30s and 40s (not to say they don’t like that stuff, but they weren’t influenced by it.)
Ooh, I hate when they only play one or two songs by an artist. I listen to 1st Wave on Sirius XM (alternative music from the 80s) and they pretty much only play Let’s Go to Bed and Just Like Heaven by the Cure. They branch out a little more with Depeche Mode (mainly because their one DJ, Richard Blade, is a huge fan…
Radio sucks. Oh, I’m sure there are some small stations out there playing good stuff and not relying on hard set playlists, but, for the most part, radio sucks. Because large corporations own most of them and they have a relatively small playlist for their DJs to choose from (if the DJs get choice at all.)
Yeah, but the way it ended definitely implied there would be at least another season and it’s not at all unheard of for a series to go past the book(s) it is based on.
