Aargh. My head spins with confusion. Maybe you should not assume your readers know all about this real life story and who this Knoop person is, or any of the real or detail-changed novels and films and whatever else you reference in the first two paragraphs. If the screenplay is biased towards a character because the…
Okay maybe I didn’t read it thoroughly enough but I’m still confused as to their relationship and this whole situation- who wrote the books, who took credit? It says up top that LeRoy had written Sarah, but also Albert wrote all the books? And Albert would be the telephone voice of LeRoy and LeRoy would be the...…
The only thing I’m mad about is that the AER apologized at all for their “tone”. You’re just propagating affluenza when you coddle these douchebags.
They shouldn’t have apologized for being rude. Fuck that guy.
Why did the official apologize? If anything, their tone should have been even more severe. More like:
Tesla is ahead of schedule. They weren’t expecting to blow up in China for a couple more years.
Can somebody explain why Gene Wolfe wasn’t worthy of a tribute but this bullshit artist was?
Good riddance to an unrepentant con-woman.
Randall I think you might have made a mistake when selecting a photo for this article. It’s about Mike Myers, but that is clearly a picture of Michael Myers, the villain of the Halloween films.
Sure it is. “You want to allow religious icons on government property? You have to allow ours too.” “You want to allow prayers before the town council meetings? You have to allow our guy to give one too.” “Oh, you find our stuff offensive? Then you can’t allow any, because that’s state support of one religion over…
It’s one of the cooler parts of the movie, but it doesn’t really mean much of anything. That’s how I feel about most of that movie: There are good lines, cool little character moments, and some cool-looking bits, but it’s not really arranged or composed in a meaningful way.
What in holy hell are Civil War or Infinity War if NOT visually flat and graphically uninteresting?! Like are you guys really into the frame-speed adjustment thing they bust out for those action sequences? It looks kinda cool, but there’s very little that’s “graphically interesting” about it unless you’ve never seen a…
feel better?
I’m honestly baffled at the boner this site has for this movie, which from every trailer I’ve seen hits every oh-so predictable beat in the rock biopic (unlikely rock star? check. shady manager? check. fights with collaborators? check. drug overdose? check.), and looks to contain nothing beyond sequins and feathers.
I don’t think I’m doing much twisting...but, look, at the end of the day, I can’t spend any more of the precious little time we all have on this Earth arguing about a space wizard movie. I sometimes get caught up and forget that’s all this is. I took something from it that you didn’t. Cool. We’re both alright. Peace…
I’m so sorry to have burdened you.
Really? The fact that Rey was “no one,” child of two drunk junkers, but ended up saving the day and standing up to the chosen son of the great Skywalker lineage, didn’t really sell that? Or the trajectory-altering heroism displayed by rank-and-filers like Rose and her sister? Or the image at the end of the film in…
Yeah, although it raises the question of why Tony felt the need to do that when it was directed at two aliens about six feet away. He could have just blasted them himself!
...I love that your comment is you just stealing what was written in the article and then reposting as your own. Meta!
