I made a version of this one year and it was fantastic. Instead of making confit with the dark meat, I deboned both leg quarters and stuffed a chorizo sausage in where the bone used to be. Then I cooked the leg quarters sous vide and fried them at the end to crisp the skin. Absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend

Just do a search on “Brave browser ceo controversy” if you want to know why you shouldn’t be using Brave. Even if that doesn’t bother you, Firefox for Android with the uBlock Origin extension does a better job of blocking things for you (and it supports extensions, which Brave for Android does not).

Lemmy has been a fantastic Reddit replacement for me. There is a lot of content, and there are more people joining every day. Boost (another third party Reddit app that shut down) will be available for Lemmy soon. Connect for Lemmy is the app I currently use, and it’s quite good, and free.

Well, full disclosure - I’m Korean, so you can probably understand why this irks me. Miso and mejugaru are fermented in different ways, and taste different. Can you use miso + gochugaru mixed together as a gochujang substitute? Sure, it works, but it isn’t exactly the same, and it won’t taste the same. And Korean

Mejugaru, which is fermented soybean paste powder. Korean fermented soybean paste is not miso. Different stuff.

Gochujang is NOT miso + gochu peppers. It's its own fermented thing.

Dekalb County in GA will let you pick up compost for free, or deliver it for a $75 fee. If you choose delivery, keep in mind that they bring you a LOT (20 cubic yards), and that it'll have things like plastic bags and sticks in it.

We absolutely love our Nespresso. We have a French press, an Aeropress, and a percolator, and I would prefer coffee out of our Nespresso over any of them. The coffee even has foam on top. Having said that, we are not a huge fan of the Nespresso coffees, so we refill our pods with coffee that we like and seal them back

The title of your article is pretty clickbaity. What this study does is not that IF is not the answer. It shows that it is an option, just like regular caloric restriction. It may work well for some people, and it may not for others, but it is a tool that people can try out to see if it works well for them. It should

There are literally studies showing that artificial sweeteners have no affect on insulin. There are also studies comparing low fat vs low carb diets in a metabolic ward (an incredibly accurate way of measuring caloric expenditure and thus fat loss) and there was no statistical difference, although the low fat group

I was mildly allergic to eggs, but was able to eat them after some time. I’m still allergic to wheat, dairy, peanuts, soy, chickpeas, and pistachios. Fortunately they’re all minor. These are all allergies that I developed as an adult.

Home grown tomatoes are AMAZING. Worlds apart from the store stuff. We grew some jalafuegos last year, and they were pretty zingy!

You can often find free compost, fertilizer (e.g. cow or horse poop), and top soil if you look around hard enough. Having said that, I can't remember what we initially invested into our garden, but $70 sounds low. We also don't produce enough food to make up for the effort/cost, so it's more of a hobby than a cost

Not trying to be macho or anything, just that I feel like anchos barely have any heat, so this was surprising to read.

I grew up playing Rogue. Such a fun, frustrating game. Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a great mobile rogue-like that you can play over and over again with different classes and challenges. I hear good things about Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, but I’ve only just started playing it.

Dumbell bench press and weighted pushups are a great alternative to benching.

I have heard that can be a problem. On the flip side, though, I guess you might get ads for stuff your wife is looking at, which might help you out with ideas?

I had a moment once when a coworker and I spoke about a condition she had, and wether or not a particular supplement would help with it. Later that day I started receiving ads for that supplement.

I wonder if they’ll add this to Goigle Voice?

I think that the Android tablets have essentially been replaced with Chromebooks. Chromebooks can actually be pretty good, and they run Android apps as well.
