Thank you! I consider Texas/Mexican culture, economics, family life, etc., to be much more integrated than people think and also much more than AZ. No one ever says this.

It was in reference to the presidential elections of 2008 and 2012.

So...much of Texas is less racist than much of the east coast. Huh.

I'm so sorry. Whether or not one wants children, they are such a gift. Please don't misunderstand: I am firmly pro-choice and pro-adoption but once a parent has a child, what possesses him or her to do or say things like that?

I would kill anyone who got near my 13-year old son without the most positive intentions; the thought of even joking about adoption is horrifying. What a cretin.

And it's very patriarchal, too: "I control your body and your looks. I will destroy this part of you that adds to your beauty". Ugh.

No, it’s OK. I think it’s valid and helpful for you to join the discussion with your personal angle. :-)

Not crazy at all; in fact, truly necessary.

Trust me-you'll know when Pele' dies.

HA!

Ugh. Obnoxious.

I can’t tell you how happy I feel reading all of these comments. I was just telling my husband last week that the young women who call themselves feminists would likely kick me out of the club for no other reason than “trigger warning” and “problematic” are not part of my daily vocabulary. I’m 48 and remember women

Yeah, he worked out at my gym (Merritt downtown) and I definitely crushed on him. Very cute. Lovely wife.

He's very liberal.

I’ll jump in a bit, even though I haven’t live in Bawlmer in almost ten years...he is very entrenched in MD Democratic politics and probably a lot of people don't like that. I wasn't around when he was governor so I don't know from higher taxes. He was a decent mayor. Plays in an Irish rock band.

He's pretty liberal, has a gorgeous wife who is a judge and the daughter of the former MD Atty Gen. I lived in Baltimore for seven years and he seemed to be a good mayor, for the most part-no real scandals, except for one seemingly created one. FWIW, he worked out at my gym and snapped at a guy once for pestering him

Can we change it from bride's special day to bride's and groom's special day? I know that women tend to do most of the planning but hey, it's special for the groom, too, and one still shouldn't propose on their important day!

I loved that show!

What about the fetus kicking? How did your friend not notice that?

But being pregnant is pretty obvious; I could tell right away. not just lack of a period but bloating, gaining weight, the fetus kicking constantly and hiccupping. I am more inclined to believe that she knew but didn't want to say anything.
