Don’t make me say. I think too many people would be disappointed.

No matter what Kevin Bacon has done in his career, he’ll always be the guy who saved the small town from it’s “no dancing allowed” rule. Anyway, I’m pretty oblivious to people while I’m out and about. The idea that I couldn’t walk by a star like Bacon is hilarious. Somebody would literally have to point him out to me

I assume he was joking.  I’ve seen Nicole Kidman in line at a coffee shop and she had to wait like everyone else.

I naively assumed he was joking

He got famous before Starbucks was a national chain, so it’s possible he’s never been to a Starbucks before.

Until the Eye Of Sauron AV focuses on JK Rowling once more, for now we are stuck with updates of Shane Gillis’ every move whenever he dares to actually attempt to advance his career.

Dunno why everyone’s so keen to see Grande do it. She’s just gonna grab all Sean’s wings, lick them, and then put them back his plate.

I think the bigger issue is, Trump aside, it only takes a small corner of the internet / social media to go apeshit on somebody and have it look like a societal movement. So it is remarkably easy to find someone looking to “cancel” someone else over whatever perceived slight, often invented for the occasion, they may

Cancel culture is an issue that really isn’t exclusive to either side, and trying to pin it on one specific group is all too convenient to people like Matt Schimkowitz that are seemingly oblivious to their role as cogs in the outrage machine... it’s a tool that anybody with axe to grind can use in bad faith regardless

Yes, Molly Kearney is really no better than if you just pulled a random person out of a bus stop and asked them to do skits. She’s dreadful.

No, as I said, I think pretty clearly, the thing the article quoted. Basically about naivete, lack of introspection, and self-seriousness being features of youth culture and the political left.  Not just those cultures of course, but notably within those cultures.  This shouldn’t be a point of debate.

He’s mad about it because he loves comedy and he sees it as a hinderance to comedy. Maybe not his own comedy, but what others do.

Same. Not remotely cute.

I think it’s good in small doses, but there is a certain point where it goes past and you’re just like “it’s not cute anymore, you’re just bad at this”

I guess I'm in the minority and can't wait until the "maybe comedy isn't for you" trolls come out, but breaking always makes me feel like I'm watching a third grader's home skit...

You couldn’t pay me to listen to a podcast with such a condescending title.

I disagree with you. A 90 minute cut would be way too short and not worth the cost of the visit to the cinema.

If you support Hamas, then you are the true genocide supporter.

My least favorite racism is the “We actually don’t know shit about what we are talking about but we are going to act like it’s true anyways”

It was fine once.   Then it winds up becoming overkill if done more than once.
