I need the picture redone to scale. The Crosley would’nt be nearly that close to the Desoto in size.

Yep, at that time a picture like that would’ve been a scandalous thing.

I’ve found a lovely lady with a model T to drive her back after the delivery. Of course she’d be about 100 by now.

I met her in 1992 when I was 12. She was so sweet and wonderful to us that I fell in love, and she seems to be even more amazing as time goes on.

An update to last weeks post. Some of you may already know this from other blogs.

Actually, GM offered a diesel in the half ton trucks in the late 70’s to early 80’s. Unfortunately it was the same 350cid diesel they put in some cars.

There’s not but the Cincinnati zoo does regular video and picture updates through Facebook. Unfortunately, over the winter she won’t be outside anymore.

Given his current collection I think the only measure of worst would be whichever of the ones that runs has the highest rust to good sheet metal ratio.

When I was shopping for a commuter there was one on a used lot that was a year old and had 8,000 miles. I figured I’d take it for a test drive.

Unless they’re thoroughly rusted they aren’t bad. Just get the drum off both sides so you have a reference as to how everything goes back together and it’s no big deal.

Check with your local auto parts store about borrowing drum brake specific tools if you’re working on them. You can do the job with needle nose pliers and a screwdriver for the adjustment screws, but it’s faster and easier with the proper tools. Given that I only have one vehicle with rear drums and it goes 80,000
