It’s not unusual for new vehicles to be unavailable for employee discounts during initial roll-out. Quite often in the past GM hasn’t started offering employee discounts until the second model year of a vehicle.

I’d say they were best with doing it recently, but I think the best contrasting interior cars were from the 50's and 60's.

I’ve always wondered that myself. My Volt does, but only after the wipers are left on for a short period of time. It can’t be anymore complex than the switch that turns off the low beams when the high beams are turned on with many cars.
