There used to be a company in my area by the name rent a wreck (not associated with the national chain by that name).

The part that really amazes me is that Germany refuses to extradite people even for violent crimes if they worry they’ll be in prison for “too long.” I remember reading an article where they refused to extradite a woman charged for a double murder because the prosecutor couldn’t guarantee if she was convicted she

Exactly, I used to get to go on tours every couple years of the factory where my grandfather worked before he retired. The one thing that always amazed me was how large the presses were.

He was unimpressed with your choice of stick. Crocodile Dunn Dog style: that’s not a stick; THIS is a stick!

They will certainly ask. The German government will say no.

I bet you’ll find she’s either isn’t actually a Canadian citizen or has dual citizenship to help keep the stereotype intact. The article mentions she sent her emails and spoke out about her outrage from China.

It was in this decade. I think it was in 2013 but may have been earlier.

That looks fantastic!

Alternate headline: crybaby breaks law and dedicated officer does his job.

I had considered that but hadn’t looked around to check pricing on wrecked Leafs just yet. Given how cheap they sell on the second hand market I bet any hit that deploys the airbags is enough to lead to it being totaled by insurance.

Hmm, This makes me think about turning the cheap, non-running Corvair Greenrbier in my area into an EV vehicle. I wonder how much battery capacity I could load into that thing before the floor falls out.

Our youngest is enamored with climbing onto my books to stare at himself in the big mirror lately.

I wanted to say it was because they went out of their way to choose the worst possible picture. It is true this is a terrible picture that cranks the crazy to 11, but a quick google image search confirms that even in the best pictures she had crazy eyes!

Let’s see: six to carry my casket, two to carry flowers to my grave side, one to drive the hearse wearing nothing but a little hat and a thong....

Funny thing is the preference for silver lead to me getting a better deal on a blue used car. The dealer I bought from had three cars, all lease turn ins. They had the exact same equipment and very similar miles. I got the blue one for $400 less than if I had wanted a silver one.

Or folks with a commute like mine. I drive 10 miles of arrow straight country road, and then get onto a highway. At the end of my commute there is about a mile of twisty, hilly roads but that’s it. For that drive there’s really nothing gained over a more efficient cvt (assuming it isn’t completely soul sucking.)

Whatever is cold: aka all shower beers are good!

It’s similar to how I mess with a good friend that hates that his wife drags him to Disney on ice every year (their kids moved out and she refuses to go alone). Naturally, every year when I know he’s at work I call his house when I hear tickets are on sale. His wife gets home from work earlier than he does so she

A friend of mine has a model S that has a wrap for his business and that’s basically what the background of the wrap looks like. It’s a big color coded circuit board.

Here’s my question: with autonomous concepts talking about “easily reconfigurable interiors” what is the implications in terms of crash testing? Would they need testing with each arrangement?
