The F-16 has never “replaced” the A-10. The F-35 is supposed to be a replacement for the F-16, however the Air Force keeps adding additional things to the “F-35 can replace these” list in order to justify the cost for it.

Yeah, I had a perfect example in high school. A retired college professor returned to replace an Algebra teacher that had died over the summer. Even the persistent 4.0 students were getting Ds and Fs on his tests, and the only people passing were essentially being taught by parents.

That is part of the academic issues. It is damn hard to fire bad teachers thanks to the unions. I say we pay them more, and fire all the dead weight. These days people can’t tell the difference between a war and an occupation. There has always been a difference, and wars can be won while there are still deaths from the occupation.

I don’t really care what the UN says. It’s all a bunch of political BS from them anyway. If you keep attacking your neighbor, you’re lucky if they don’t wipe you off the map. Whatever territory they give back to you after handing your ass to you is a bonus. Syria basically forfeited it.

It could have another effect though, if it forces Russia to stop using low-level dumb bombing and munitions dropped from helicopters, that could be a win for any civilians getting caught in the crossfire.
