Yes! I love those. I was just thinking the mix of electric and mechanical. But those show you don’t need “Berrrrrrrr, Burrrrrrrr, Birrrrrr.” to make a great vehicle action sequence.

(And I don’t think all the Teslas driven by the oppressive, totalitarian, misogynistic government in The Handmaid’s Tale is the kind of product placement anyone wants.)

You: It’s a manual with 130k on it.

Yeah...I pretty much always opt for the paid rental since there’s always the chance that something will go wrong with my friend’s truck while it’s in my possession. Saving $10 net of beer considerations isn’t worth the risk of straining a good relationship.

Enh, the electric sound is more futuristic though. Having a good mix of both products gives you a lot more sounds to play with. Kinda like the Pod Race audio experience in the Phantom Menace.

This is exactly why I don’t finish all the *unnecessary* repairs my truck needs.

Oh, you need “someone’s” truck to dump a load of gravel into, back into something, then return it with 1/4 tank of gas and a bunch of new scratches/dings?

Because car companies pay film makers for product placement. And Tesla ain’t paying. The only movie I can think of that I’ve seen a Tesla in was Cold Pursuit and that was a model X driven by the bad guy.

No. I can borrow one of my friends’ trucks - or rent one for $20.

4th: Why the Fast and the Furious franchise hasn’t latched onto Tesla’s towing power or 0-60 is beyond me. They love that kind of thing.

The Veloster N is better than the GTI by pretty much every report and the Veloster in general I can say, from personal experience with an Ultimate Turbo trim, is very well-executed.

I'm stealing that hashtag.

It has four doors; one on the driver side, two on the passenger side, and a rear door for throwing stuff and small children into.

have you seen the new one in person? it looks almost completely different now! The important thing is Hyundai is listening they added irs and mechanical limited slip and the interior looks up to date. Hyundai tackled head on most of it’s criticisms with the new model.

Conversely, how small of wheel diameter fits over the “big” brakes?

This hot take is terrible.

If you are really into track days, Type R will be faster. If you want the car to still be very competent but do things that make you giggle, the N is so much better.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I'll be over here working on a mobile EMP device.

Ahhh Seattle, the land of One-Way streets! Beautiful city!

You might actually have an easier time permitting an anerobic digester for that, depending on jurisdiction. You might not be able to afford the cost of designing and building it, but permitting, you know.
