Superiority clause in the constitution means the federal government has control. I think it would be best if the whole country had one standard. Which standard is best i’m not really smart enough to answer that.

Absolutely!
I’m thinkin’ ID3 Harlequin!
I can’t believe so many people didn’t pay attention in grade school physics. In 5 years we were never going to meet those fleet averages.
Law makers think they can defy the laws of physics. This legislation wasn’t technically Obama’s, but Bush’s that got pushed into the next administration.
The only way I can fathom…
You missed the lawsuit where the federal government is trying to strip California of their right to have their own standard
That 46.7 is based on the 1973 standards, so it is artificially inflated. The actual number is much lower.
You do realize that 52.5 mpg was based on an older test result, so that roughly equates to ~40mpg on the sticker right now. Many current vehicles are close or exceed it.
LOL wut?
Except some may decide to make cars not for the higher standards which would undercut the others

True, Hyundai wants a slice of the global market, and they’re going at it in several ways.
Agree - there’s a definitive math problem in the statement that women are anti-EV. I think it’s just much more that men are more likely to be pro early-adopter. That said, it’s my wife who owns the EV in our family, and I drive the ICE.
Does anyone sell a vehicle with locking hubs anymore? Lada maybe?
A used leaf is like $7K easy, they do not hold their value at all, it’s almost disturbing.
I’m guess I’m not a tech bro (which is good) because I am waiting on a cheap, reliable Toyota EV.
We live near downtown Houston, which has a growing population of, ahem, urban campers. They are not shy about approaching people, and especially women, and aggressively soliciting donations to support their chosen lifestyles.
Yes.
“ For instance, I need to move about 2 tons of gravel for a french drain I’m doing”
It’s handy when you have to move every year because you can no longer afford the rent in your apartment.
“I wonder if the lack of range and charging times is simply a safety issue for women? “
This seems to me very likely the explanation. Driving while female is a risk, similar to running while female.
