Yea, I don’t really understand Toyota sales. At least Hondas are interesting to drive.

So much this. I am 6'6" and can’t reach into the bed of most modern full-size trucks. Heck, my dad has a recent Chevy Colorado 4x4 and its bed sides are too high IMO.

That’s us. We had to buy little step-ladders so our crews could get stuff out of the bed.

Whats the form number?

I sometimes hate how practical I am. I needed a car that would last for the next 5+ years. I wanted a Chevy SS I saw. I then saw a Mazda3 for literally half the price of the SS. I looked at my bank account, looked at the purchases/payments happening in the next year, and then proceeded to buy the Mazda. I love it, but

I’m not particularly tall, but I’ve never had similar issues with tall people, even a foot higher than me.

When will GM learn that ugly vehicles with ugly interiors don’t sell?

The main problem with GM right now is that they seem to have absolutely no idea what their target markets actually want. I don’t understand what’s so hard about looking at what the best selling vehicles offer and moving in that direction.

Agreed. Even the “mid size” trucks appear gargantuan... check out the review of the new Ranger. In that story there’s a side by side shot of the new Ranger alongside one from the previous generation. It’s insane and totally unnecessary.

If they were simply driving it around their property, I wouldn’t care at all. When we’re talking about over-sized vehicles that are by dint of their size an inconvenience to me and everyone around them, though, then yes, I have an issue with said inconvenience.

Because it directly negatively impacts me due to their (comparatively) poor gas mileage and stupidly large proportions. They’re in the way, taking up space and polluting the planet disproportionately to their actual utility to the person. It’s like saying “I paid my money to use the pay bathroom” then taking a shit in

Ford specifically seems guilty of this.  Adding a metal plate to the existing body work just to emboss it.  Embossing the bumper cover or the wing or what have you is fine, but why add a plate on top of the existing body just to stamp it when you could just stamp the existing panel?

You don’t really get an idea of how tall they are until you see one pull a trailer designed like, 20 years ago. There was one driving through town with a cattle trailer and I don’t know how the cattle were going to handle going around on that steep incline.

1st Gear: I think part of the problem is the new truck is disappointing in a key ways... let’s start with fuel economy:

I came across an old Toyota pickup the other day. You had to reach DOWN into the bed. It was so cool.

There’s been a lot of construction going on at work. There’s a large Chevy truck that belongs to one of the construction crew. Every time I pass it, I notice the plastic step-stool placed next to the back tire.

I’m finally starting to see a few of these silverados out in the wild and pictures don’t do them justice.

Exactly. Everyone in Israel serves in the military for (IIRC) two years. That is shorter than the voluntary basic (ha!) enlistment in the US, which is four years, but it gives everyone a common background.

I personally despise those over-sized monstrosities. I’ve got no issue with those used for actual work, or for people who own a farm or the like and will actually use their personal vehicle for related tasks.

But then there are also a lot of weird sentences:
