Strapping rockets to the dinosaurs has been done:

I don’t know why but it seems like there was more than 6 of these.

Remember when SNL did a spoof ad for a razor with 5 blades? Yeah, I use a 5 blade razor now. Technically 6 blades if you include that one blade on the back that you can use to make an exquisite Hitler mustache.

The saddest thing about this is, there’s no reason for GameStop to exist in 2022. GameStop knows this as well. More and more people are becoming comfortable buying and downloading games through an online store. Nothing good is going to come from any of this for any party.

I would love to know how this idea was originally pitched.

If you can’t even be bothered to pull it out of the driveway for some proper pics (does it really move under its own power?), I can’t be bothered to pull out my checkbook. ND.

I own a 430 5 speed which is the later, fuel injected biturbo. The later ones addressed many of the earlier Biturbo failings and are surprisingly light and new car quick with the turbos on boil. The other surprise is that turbo lag isn’t hideous thanks to smallish turbos that spool quickly. The 5 speed dogleg box

Electrify America is actually pretty good at marking the chargers as unavailable lately. That wasn’t the case six months ago, but they seem to have at least improved that aspect of their network.

1st Gear: Matt Farah has documented a LOT of these issues on The Smoking Tire recently. I can’t remember which episode specifically, but the root he got to is that all the grants and incentives are towards building charging stations and not maintaining them. The apps rarely tell you when a charger is on the fritz, and

Sammy there believes writers should only be paid for writing less than nothing, which is exactly what he does for a living.

In fact, Gere’s entire early career was based around taking roles that Travolta turned down.

Yeah, this article is making Schrader sound like Alan Moore, when his actual position does not seem especially surprising or even grudging. The fact that an artist of Schrader’s stature still makes frank and unguarded internet posts is a gift, so let’s not talk about him like he’s some kind of lunatic.

How the fuck does Schrader getting paid for work derivative of his work count as “money for nothing”? You should give up this writing thing (what a blessing that would be) and become a lawyer for DC and/or Marvel.

Schrader has long held that his movies should be left alone because they are cultural  artifacts and only really work within the context of the era in which they were made. Of course that didn’t stop Schrader from remaking “Cat People” which he did at the time as a technical exercise only to now view it in retrospect

People aren’t entitled to successful entertainment careers.

He could’ve not made those jokes about the parkland survivors.

I don’t know. It’s weird now. He always had pervy comedy, but he presented himself as a helpless, hapless underdog while he was doing it. Now we know he was a very powerful and well-respected comedian whose disapproval could ruin careers, so that pierces that veil and his creepy jokes just become ... creepy.

You’re asking the wrong question.

There’s no answer to that question. Some people will forgive CK, or at least be willing to give him money. Others won’t. He might have a successful career again or he might not. It’s not as if he’s entitled to one.

I don’t intend to disparage her, honestly! Or any of the actors—really the only reason I kept watching was because of the acting. I just didn’t think she fit the part, and her conception of the character just didn’t match the younger version. Which is really a failure of the creators to write it better and/or guide
