The “red paint process” is called, simply enough, powder coating, and is used on quite a lot of things. It’s generally very durable, so it’s popular on tool or industrial applications, as well as on things like gym or outdoor equipment.

“There’s already been at least one hoverboard-related death. A 15-year-old boy got hit by a bus in London after he fell off his hoverboard and was pronounced dead on the scene.”

One, those two-wheeled self-balancing teen transporters you’ve heard so much about lately should not be called “hoverboards,” as they do not hover.

Also, don’t buy bicycles, roller skates, sleds, ATV’s, motorcycles, automobiles, airplanes, go carts, boats, jet skis.

...and it can’t be this movie. I agree I would love to see that film, but ID4 was the quintesential tentpole pew pew pew ka-boooom! movie, and that’s what people will want out of the sequel. Introspection is great, and hopefully the studio will use the stupid massive profits it’ll make off this film to make something

Why pay more for a dedicated controller when you have a more than capable device you’ve already paid for and carry around everywhere? Tell your kids to bugger off. Or barring that, link the toys to an old smartphone that doesn’t get used anymore. If you don’t have an old phone laying around, you could likely buy an

Many of the most important and world-changing scientific discoveries of all time have come from research that had no obvious “practical” purpose at the time.

This article is about TFRs (temporary flight restrictions), the article specifically mentions that other companies do what you described but the innovation here is always updating database of TFRs.

Prices of shit like this guy are why I really don’t like riding on the street. I own a 2011 Hypermotard, I’ve had it since April of 2014, I’ve put maybe 3k miles on it because I just don’t feel safe on the street. I honestly think it’s safer for me to go back to racing or at least track days to get my two wheeled fix.

Fuck this guy, and fuck all of those assholes in the comments of the previous article who were taking this guy’s side. Especially “jalop1991” and “Fuel_of_Satan” who genuinely seem to thing passing Ina no-passing zone is just as bad as actively trying to harm others.

Already happened in the original article. Comments were full of idiots pointing fingers at the rider because “OMG THAT’S ILLEGAL.”

Nevermind that it was a perfectly safe pass on a straightaway with plenty of visibility, past a guy who was intentionally going well under the speed limit to antagonize them.

Heh. I think was was supposed to relay you a message years ago from M.Coleman saying ‘sorry’... Apparently a collar bone was at stake.

The session was the first GoPro to pique my interest. The Silver doesn’t suit my needs nearly as well - mainly for the silly, clumsy case they still rely on for basic water resistance.

I have two things I’d like to say in reply to your comment.

Gizmodo has officially been a science and technology blog for the better part of a year. Environmental science is science, and we use technology to study it. Climate change impacts our infrastructure, our technology and our lives. If you don’t want to read a post, don’t read it.

The door is right over there. Hopefully it hits your ass on the way out.
