No, they’re for people who aren’t enthusiasts and just need a decent utilitarian “jack of all trades” vehicle and want a more upright seating position/viewpoint. They’re not my cup of tea, but my gf has one and I totally understand why. She doesn’t care too much about driving dynamics as long as the ride is

I have no idea how many people in the U.S. buy Audi, BMW & Mercedes diesel CUVs, but even if that number is relatively high (and I have my doubts) I don’t think that translates to a similar percentage of middle-class Chevy/Ford/Hyundai/etc CUV buyers making the switch to that fuel. Especially after the dieselgate

They can’t sue if they’re dead! :)

FCA already has an EV (the 500e). I would say it would make more sense for them to grow their EV program organically from within, rather than try and integrate this shitshow into their company. Also, I would say since they already have a bare-bones subcompact EV, that the next step would be to make a slightly bigger

Interesting. I haven’t seen any of this gentleman’s videos, and his deadlift technique is a bit different than what I’ve seen in other videos. Some of the other videos I’ve seen have your chest pointing a bit more forward. I don’t know if those are just legitimate variations (I know there is more than one type of

Yeah, but doesn’t it depend on the competition though? I don’t think the rules are consistent. IIRC Eddie Hall thought he had set the world’s heaviest deadlift at a particular competition but it didn’t count because he dropped the weight and the competitors were told beforehand they had to bring it back down.

This just made me think of Prince Tommen’s end on GoT.

Or, he was never given the authority or tools to do the job. Considering the statement that he found serious investors who would only invest if Jia stepped down, I would say he quit or was let go because the founder didn’t like the options he was given. And considering what a mess Jia has made, I would say the problem

I know! I recommend jumping on this offer right away before a bidding war ensues.

I have a 10 year old Scion tC with a bad 3rd gear synchro that burns oil. I’ll cut you a deal at only $60k. ;)

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from a specific series of movies, it’s that a dude can somehow own a super hot (& clean) performance shop despite spending all of his time setting up stupid street races, and then magically become one of the most talented computer hackers in the world overnight.

I thought I read somewhere that GM was tooling up for a next-gen Corvette after the 2018 model year. But obviously this looks very similar to the C7 except for all the new body parts. Is the 2019 model going to be a mid-cycle refresh?

Hey, I resemble that comment!

I wonder if it was the same idea-man who wrote episode 2's special forces training ground disaster?

I feel the same way about the rest of the show. I only enjoyed it when our 3 musketeers were out driving the cars without all the goofy, scripted nonsense.

Indeed, Mike Skinner may be an awesome guy and perhaps if he was just allowed to talk freely (or just shut up and drive) he would have been entertaining. But the “character” of Mike Skinner was a one-note parody that wasn’t funny even the first time I heard it.

Unfortunately - I can’t recall where I read it - but weren’t they initially stating the bottleneck was due to poor spot welding on the frame? Has that been fixed? If not, I wonder if this production slowdown could be a blessing in disguise, limiting the number of potentially poorly welded vehicles being assembled

“Electric cars aren’t totally green.” Yeah, we all get that. No one’s denying it. But to state that they aren’t greener than gas cars in most cases is probably incorrect. Regardless, as our electrical grid relies more and more on renewable/clean energy EVs make even more sense. It’s good to start the EV transition now

I don’t know which article you’re referring to, but in case you hadn’t noticed our grid is becoming much more green every month. I’m all for nuclear power, but there are other great clean energy sources which are obviously being implemented at ever increasing rates. Regardless, we also have to consider the much higher
