God, you moist assholes make me cringe sometimes.

Good one. I have a feeling you could use similar marketing for most crossovers out there.

I can’t believe the feds have never instituted any rules regarding a minimum set of gauges that have to be present in front of the driver.

I actually wish Jalopnik allowed reddit-style downvoting (for once) just so I can downvote your childish tantrum.

Good one. I lol’d pretty hard.

Lawmaker 1 doesn’t support SAFE KIDS because he HATES CHILDREN. You don’t......HATE children,.............DO YOU!!!!!!!!!???!!!!!!!?d/?$$$$!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn’t paying as much attention as I should and thought this was an old GT40, which would be sacriledge to modify.

I think it looks better than the hideous X, but that’s just my (probably minority) opinion. Guess it doesn’t matter, as I’m not in the market for a $100k SUV. :P

Indeed. Not to mention, if they did need more capacity down the line (lol) it would make more sense to expand the Nevada facility, where taxes are lower and there is tons of room in every direction to build. Laughable.

I’m kind of torn on this and like you my S.O. doesn’t drink, so if I want to I just ask her to drive. However, that’s not the case for many people (especially singles). And as others have pointed out finding alternative transport can be difficult in rural areas.

Taxi’s are crazy no matter where you are in the US world.

I was taught in driver’s ed the same as you: stop if you can. I think the problem is at least somewhat due to enforcement. Cops here seem to spend most of their time running radar and not enough looking for people running red lights, cutting people off, etc.

Well, I’ll have to take your word on it. The lowest I saw for a V6 stripper Mustang was $22,450 and for a base Camaro $25,300 (Las Vegas area). You are correct that Toyota dealers aren’t making down their online dealer listings from the MSRP.

I second this. I have a new Mustang ecoboost and an old Scion tC hatchback. The tC is great for hauling stuff, but when it comes to comfort while driving (especially for long trips) there’s no comparison. Driving the Mustang is more comfortable and pleasant in every way.

Where in the world are you finding new Mustangs and Camaros for $20k? MSRPs for base stripper Mustangs and Camaros start at approximately $25k and $26k, respectively (before incentives and haggling).

I grew up in the midwest (Indianapolis) and yeah, midwestern roads are shit. I think part of it is due to the really shit weather which puts extra stress on the roads and also makes for shorter repair windows. The rest I chalk up to not enough spending and too much government waste (?).

Overloading also plays a factor. A pothole can form without water freezing underneath if asphalt is overloaded by heavy trucks enough to create spall cracking. Also, if there is no crack in the first place then there shouldn’t (in theory) be route for the water to work its way in and freeze, popping up the loose

As someone who worked for a civil engineering firm doing road inspections (a long time ago) I will say that it depends. Old cracked asphalt (and concrete) can actually make a very good substrate layer for a new thinner layer of asphalt on top. The new layer will fill in the cracks which form over time because asphalt

I’ve only ever seen the two extremes. Here in Las Vegas they love re-paving roads, even when it totally doesn’t need it. The local joke is that Nevada’s state bird is the Orange Cone. Conversely, where I grew up (midwest) it seems like everything is crumbling, and I’ve seen a lot of the same on the east coast, as

For the most part, I agree in the sense that as long as a tax rate is kept constant the same level of services should be kept without blowing the budget, assuming the cost of those services doesn’t increase at a higher rate of inflation. As an example, I always get annoyed when they try to pass tax rate increases for
