Good point.

Well,...I don’t know what to say to that. “Fuck rich people”? Luckily, I’ll never have to deal with such horrific social image related conundrums.

I hear ya, but I would hope if I was rich I would have the common sense to at least get something reasonable for my kid. Even if I went the new car route (which I probably wouldn’t), I would be something more sensible, like a Ford Focus. And I probably wouldn’t “give” it to the kid. I’d have it as an extra family car

I didn’t say it wasn’t normal for those people. That doesn’t make it much less stupid.

Not to mention, no American who’s in the market for a pickup truck (even the expensive ones) would buy one with a Mercedes badge on it. This would be the perfect pickup for all the rich people out there who spend $80,000 on a truck and probably don’t need or use more than 50% of its utility, but they won’t buy an M-B

I hear ya. I bagged groceries for a year and a half to buy my first car for $700. Why idiot rich people spoil their idiot kids with brand new expensive cars is beyond me.

Wouldn’t it be ironic to have an arcade-style racing simulator game (with wheel, pedals and gearshift) inside your autonomous car so you can play at driving while your car drives you around? WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA......................

I’ll message you the link through ICQ.

In lieu of attaching my resume, should I just include a link to my personal profile page for reference? It’s very nice and professional. I made it myself on geocities.

Roger dodger. I’ll switch to my backup account: 469fingerbangz@hotmail.com.

No. Nevada.

So I should change my 420blaze4lyfe@aol.com email address before my next round of interviews?

Although I always swore never to get vanity plates, I did briefly consider getting “SLOPONY” plates for my Mustang, but somebody already took that one. Crisis averted.

Indeed. I am amazed at how short-sided our thinking continues to be.

Probably. And I think that would actually make sense for them. Ideally you don’t want extra brands just for different markets, but the Chinese really are keen on Buicks (don’t know why) so you can’t really ditch the name there and replace them with Chevys or Caddys. And of course Buicks aren’t selling over here. I

I don’t think he ever implied he could.

I would imagine no one will, at this point. It seems they are burning every bridge they can.

I’m sure a lot of them are looking for jobs right now.

Agreed, but new car lemons are much less common than old cars that are on their last legs. Believe me, I wasn’t trying to make a case against buying used over new. 6 of my 8 car & truck purchases have been used. I bought my first car for $700! :)

In a perfect world. Having said that, I think autonomous cars will be a good thing as it will get bad drivers out from behind the wheel. I’d love to see more aggressive licensing and education requirements for driving in the U.S. but it ain’t gonna happen.
