The point of an impeachment process is to drive public opinion. I’ve been basically shouting this online for weeks now, but it DOES NOT MATTER if it fails due to Republican intransigence. Force them, on the record, to say “this criminal-looking behavior doesn’t bother us”. Hang Trump around their necks before 2020.

“and let us hold a trial—he won’t be convicted”

Got some orange around your mouth there, Johnny.

While I agree that people have overplayed the “break the wheel” line, you completely overstated your dismissal of Dany as “defender of the downtrodden”.

God himself cannot make me vote for biden in the primary. But if he’s the only viable choice against 45 come that tuesday in november, I’ll vote for him without hesitation.   Anything is better than 45 and Pence.

The two aren’t mutually exclusive.  Drawing down the military is going to take time.  There is a reason they are called the Military Industrial Complex.  Their power is entrenched.  In the interim, they should be green.  Duh.

Personally, I’d like to see Cheney and his cronies dragged before the Hague, not to mention Kissinger and his ilk. I’m not holding my breath that it will happen though.

Well, what do you mean by that?

This is how you fight republican bullying and ignorance. You make good solid laws that defend people’s rights and bodies. You tell the American people what these laws will get them and what they will protect them from. If these laws are voted down, you go after the cruel bastards that stole rights from us.

Actually Elizabeth Warren is as well and she has an actual plan for how to implement it.

To the folks (or really, the one guy we all knew would be in here screaming about it the moment he got an opportunity) saying, “Don’t blame us for Clinton’s loss. Some voters have morals!”

...I hope your morality helps you sleep at night, knowing that the SCOTUS—as now composed (thanks to two—and possibly

Yeah but it could have been far worse.

“ThEy’Re BoTh The SAAAME1!!!!!!”

I know you guys love your socialist dictators and all, but I promise, you won’t die if you say that supporting Guaido is actually the right call regardless of the administration we currently have. We can certainly argue about what level of support the US should provide (probably materiel and logistical support only),

I’m perfectly fine with people being allowed to vote once they have completed their sentence. In a perfect world, that means your debt to society has been paid and you are free to rejoin it without further prejudice (yes, I am aware that this is not how it actually works in the real world). But imprisonment is, at its

If Trump is not your “red line” for impeachment, you don’t have a red line, and impeachment literally means nothing. It’s really just that simple. If a president can commit “high crimes and misdemeanors” in plain sight, and that’s not enough to demand the starting of proceedings, then it the process doesn’t actually

Her focus on policy is one of the reasons she’s my top pick right now. I have a really hard time imagining much of this being enacted, but I love that she’s putting them out there, and wish the media would give more attention to this than to the horse race stuff they usually focus on (not you all).

Two things that never get old:

I don’t see how that’s an even slightly realistic description of the candidates. Warren is similar to Sanders but with less blind faith and more policy analysis.

I’m opposed to Bernie, and I’m hoping for an Elizabeth Warren victory. Am I a creep?
