You’re describing an immigration system that is built around allowing any people who want to come in to do that,
Did you mean to respond by copying and pasting your same comment? One which I explained already?
I have no idea what you were saying because I wasn’t responding to you, so I think you are missing the point I was making to Major Major Major Major, which is exactly that. If its not ICE it will be someone else, so its useless to call for the abolishment of ICE.
Ok, let’s get specific then...
No...I brought it up to illustrate that even if you abolished ICE the POTUS would just have a different federal agency, whether its DHS, FBI, or the DEA do it.
It doesn’t even solve one problem. Even if ICE was still called INS do people really believe Trump wouldn’t be using them in the same way?
To be fair Kamala Harris hasn’t called for it to be abolished...only that the agency and its role should be “re-examined” which I think is fair. There is more than enough reason to advocate for better oversight and reform.
an organization, lest we forget, that is just 15 years old
#AllLivesMatter Amiright?
Until everyone who was involved with this scandal is removed, from presidents to vp’s to regents to boosters to staff etc, MSU should lose its endowment. And institution is not more important that protecting the people it claims to protect.
Nothing will drastically change until we get to the root of the problem: a broken political system that rewards and benefits a powerful few by stoking fear in the many.
2000 kids have been taken from their parents in the last six weeks with no system in place to reunite them with their families after the parents are deported. The head of DHS as of yesterday couldn’t tell us where the girls and toddlers are while at the same time they release video and photos of the boys in cages.m…
but instead begins with a tight shot of Painter standing in front of an actual raging dumpster fire.
I thought you might have some ideas of how to do it.
There are solutions. They are just not easy.
Because most “affordable” housing IS subsidized. Otherwise developers only put up luxury apts, since the building costs are so high.
You are bringing nothing to these conversations other than acting like a know-it-all even though I can’t discern that you have an real world experience.
Certainly some of that is the case, but far too often it isn’t politics it’s economics that stop these projects.
