This is such a straw man. First of all they don’t have an unlimited amount of SNAP money every month, so if they do buy steak on the 15th they’re going hungry until the first. Second, as far as the junk food goes, its expensive to eat healthy. Their SNAP benefits go a lot further when they buy “fucking pizza and

Until Trump and the GOP start trying to cut medicare, medicaid and social security when they suddenly become worried about the deficit after the new year.

A $1.4 trillion welfare check for the rich at the expense of everyone else.

Its awesome. We used to go there for lunch when I was in high school. They’re on broadway just south of 16th street.

There is a Minnesota style pizza, but its not this (and it not actually be pizza). Its called pizza hot dish:

I’m from Minnesota, and it’s absolutely not a thing. What you are describing is just thin crust pizza you’d get just about anywhere. Also Mr. Pizza in Rochester is superior to Red’s, Broadway, and Carbone’s.

“Never Forget How Badly Most White People in Alabama Wanted Roy Moore to Win”

1. Ok fine...I guess you’ve got me there. Whatever you want to call it its still discrimination against a legally protected class.

I don’t decide the merits of an argument based on the need to use grossly hyperbolic statements. That’s just kinda when I know you’ve lost the argument. Its sort of like a white flag even if you don’t realize you are waving it.

I think the phrase “the extent we think the state should be allowed to put a boot on the throat of its citizens.” is grossly hyperbolic, and ultimately hurts the already flimsy arguments you have. Businesses should not be allowed to discriminate against legally protected classes, whether its gay, christian, black etc,

“Religious discrimination against same-sex couples”

An event celebrated by a protected class of people, and therefore falls under the scope of that legal protection. Just like refusing to bake a bar mitzva cake is descriminating against Jewish people and not simply refusing to bake a cake for a specific birthday event you don’t like. You go ahead and keep jumping

RE your ETA: A hetero couple by definition could not order a same-sex wedding cake (since they are hetero), unless you are just trying to be intellectually dishonest by claiming that because a hetero couple could theoretically buy a cake for a same sex couple, he isn’t discriminating because he won’t make that cake

He’s refusing to bake a certain type of cake for a gay couple that he would gladly back for a straight couple. He is discriminating based on a legally protected class of people.

Yes, but the baker isn’t being descriminated against. The gay couple is.

I’m not willfully misrepresenting anyone. He is refusing to bake a cake for a same sex couple that he would gladly bake for a hetero couple.

Well, since “A muslim that doesn’t believe such action is blasphemy and warranting a death sentence” is not a legally protected class, yes. It is too far-fetched.

What protected class would the person requesting the Mohamed cake belong to exactly?

The state isn’t forcing him to bake cakes. If baking a cake offends his religious beliefs he can start a different business. However, if he chooses to remain a baker within our secular economy he can’t refuse to bake a cake for a gay couple.

No, its their actual self interest. Unless they are super rich pretty much everything Trump has done, has attempted to do, and is attempting to do hurts that 53% in measurable, tangible ways. They are just too blinded to realize it.
