people will pay $50k for a low mile one.”

If you have to ask, .........

The mouth breathers have voted:

Evos hold their value like crazy. You’d be surprised

240k miles, this thing is on borrowed time. I’ll give ya $2400.

You almost had me at 5-speed! Almost!

I’m no paint restoration expert by any means, but couldn’t they have filled in the stone chips and used some polishing compound on the rest?  Even if they did that, maybe $5K at the most.  ND as is.

That’s throw away money.

Before I read the article, I just want to say - When NP or ND is late I get worried about what’s happened to Rob. I know that one day he won’t be there anymore, but I pray that this is not that day.

Too much for that mileage and vintage. And GOD I hate those dash toupees like I hate carpet in a bathroom.

I’m gonna be straight up: This thing, to me, looks good. Not “good for a Pinto,” just good. I love the shooting brake style, I think the lines of this model work quite well as a wagon, and the woodie panels are icing on the cake. Interior looks nicely sorted, too.

crazy car afficionado

Somewhere out there, is a crazy car afficionado who sees this semi-pimped Pinto for $14.5K and thinks, “I must have it.” That person isn’t me.

This thing is the exception to the rule that just about any model from the last 50 years has some freak out there who would pay outrageous money to have the cleanest example there is.

Ouch. I puckered up just looking at this-but it’s not in the trunk...

Tires and the subwoofer made the decision easier.  ND.

The automatic seems like a travesty, but today I learned that they also look terrible on the center console. That’s like a mockup of a shift lever. Blech.

Subwoofer indicates misplaced mechanical priorities. CP despite absolutely loving these cars.

First thing I pulled out of my BMW 850 was the Subwoofer.

It doesn’t take much to “total” an older car, but who is to say this wasn’t reconstructed out of the best of five donors with the lowest mileage and VIN selected? Reconstructed and no history, No Dice at any price, let alone this one this high.
