And the hood and fender panel gaps are Tesla-bad at the site of the bodywork.

Looks like the Antique Sage Pearl (aka another shade of Toyota beige) has had a bad repaint. From the ad:

Wouldn’t the list of EV startups that aren’t going bankrupt soon be a more manageable list?

Cope harder.

A used Telsa, why? If you’re going to be a horrible person and financially support that Nazi piece of shit, brand new long range Model Y’s are under 37k with the tax credit and still under 45k without it.

Yawn, just get a Rav 4 and be done with it. it’ll get 42 miles on EV range and 40mpg city, while being a Toyota so it’ll last forever. Plus you can go almost 600 miles on a single tank.

I guess I am old enough that I love these cars, it would have been cool to roll into Vegas in this in 1978. This is indeed a rare option, looks to be in fine condition, NP for my hypothetical collection.

Oof. Back in the day, you were the crumple zone.

Everyone has probably heard some variation of the unknown scientist, who in the mid-20th century, invented a magic carburetor which allowed vehicles to get 100+ MPG but was either silenced or murdered through some shadowy plot carried out by the big oil and automotive companies.

That anyone capable of thought above a cellular level thought this was real.

Similarly, some wacky inventor made a XXX MPG carburetor but BIG OIL shut him down as it would cut into profits!

Now playing

Older cars are safer, because they built them “better in the old days.”

That Full Self-Driving is full self-driving.

This is no longer as prevalent as it once was, but I used to hear people say they wouldn’t wear their seatbelt because it could trap them in case of a crash and they’d be safer without it.

That you’ll get better mileage with the Fuelshark:

You win the Internet. We can just shut it all down right now.

I’m not denigrating a damn fine fish with the name of that rat-bastard.

Orange stain? Sounds like the new “presidential model.”

They’re not wrong, the Volt was a popular car and a lot are still on the road. An improved Volt, a hybrid Cadillac and a hybrid truck platform would bring in sales. Toyota and Hyundai certainly move hybrids so the demand is there.

I think the one vehicle that I think Toyota Dealers are having the most trouble getting shipments in is the Sienna. Who knew that getting 35mpg and cutting your huge vehicle gas expenses in half was what people wanted?
