I was personally hoping the new privacy options had a way to stop every friend addition from posting on your wall and going to the news feed. My in-laws are probably a bit concerned by the rate at which I add friends on something they consider "only people you know in real life" network.
One thing that hasn't been revamped is the Facebook application privacy settings. Applications that haven't even been added to one's profile can still post to your wall if friends have added them.
Does this mean Orchard Bank can't charge me $12.95 rush fee when I make my payment on the day its due? Considering most of my other accounts apply the payment immediately, this seemed like BS to me.
I really like the uglifying your camera article - I have a new Fuji that I carry around everywhere, but there are certain times I'm a little nervous to whip it out, for fear that someone may try to swipe it.
I take an outdoor break when I need a bit of a lift. It helps my eyes re-focus away from the monitor, and the fresh air seems to make me feel alot more refreshed and alert.
Yay! I can do blogging on the plane as well... another place there will be no excuse to not be able to get in touch with people via email.
I think distraction is the way the brain signals it needs to relax. Plus, too much focus on one thing may make you lose the ability to truly see the whole picture of what you are doing. Say you are editing something you wrote - you may miss typos because you've stared a everything so long, it is too cemented in your…
I learn best in the classroom. I think it is because I can buy a book, but without the proper motivation of a test or possibly being embarrassed by not knowing the answer when called upon, I don't really motivate myself to read it all and do the exercises. I'll just skim through parts I need right at the moment and…
I'm a fan of the Fresco Bean Burrito at Taco Bell. It's not on the value menu, but it's still super cheap.
If your cat pees on something that is dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner right. If it sets in too long, or you try to wash it out yourself, they'll actually refuse to do anything with it.
That's really just her style, and her hair is looking pretty good compared to other pictures I've seen of her. Maybe she just doesn't want to be the super hot actress that everyone is chasing down for a photo.
That is a beautiful picture, and at the same time, it makes my eyes hurt.
That's too funny. I would have been more excited about photo and video editing capabilities than #3 on keeping track of my fitness.
Just the post I needed... our Mac at home has been slowing down recently. I'm sure the real source is the fact that I've added so much hi-res photo and hi-def videos to the hard drive, so after I back those up, I'll give these tips a go.
Paper towels, toilet paper, and shower gel.
Sounds like a good way to mess with photos. I'll give it a go, even though my new favorite simple editing tool is iPhoto. Nothing made me love it more than the feature that lets your drag a bar to straighten the photo, as opposed to having to figure out a % of rotation.
I would have to do some major spam purging before I moved over all of my other accounts to Gmail. Especially my AOL account. That one has probably about 90% spam, 10% useful saved messages.
Are the mini-notebooks, like the 10" Dell, supposed to be just for basic web-surfing and checking emails, or can it handle more?
I have been on Gmail for about 3 hours so far, and haven't seen any problems. I was also on Google Analytics just a few minutes ago, and everything seemed to be fine. The only thing I thought was a bit fishy was the tracking to my site... it didn't show a lot of referrals from Twitter yesterday, but I can go to the…
