The Sony suits mostly stay out of Lord & Miller’s way on the Spider-Verse films because they’re busy making the lame Venomverse films instead.

I genuinely loved Lisa Frankenstein, & I’m hoping that 1 more week in theaters gets it to the break-even point.
Also because the streak of godawful Seltzer-Friedberg films killed the public’s interest in spoofs, so they didn’t give Walk Hard a chance.
Yeah, that bad-faith nonsense in the first paragraph led me to write off the entire article.
Because Monica was in the *first* Captain Marvel & Kamala is a bundle of joy.
The Schneider sitcoms weren’t even the most loved shows on Nick *during the time they aired*; the cartoons were.
The Schneider-verse sitcoms weren’t the “golden age” of Nickelodeon. The decade prior to that was.
Speaking as somebody parent-aged who has already expressed that I liked season 1, I disagree with “The show itself offers little to nothing to parents”.
Moana’s a good movie. And I’d argue the Jumanji sequels are too.
Yeah, after Batgirl, there ain’t a chance in hell that every WB movie in production doesn’t have somebody secretly backing up the files.
At least step 3 won’t work, since his name & photo are attached to every article about this.
The name casting is to hook in parents.
But yes, casting was likely the biggest money sink. They paid a ton of kids, at least 2 teams’ worth of kid-sized hockey-playing stunt doubles, Graham, Estevez, a handful of other established adults, & the OG Duck cameos.
Disney only had to recast Genie because they pissed off Robin Williams. Cravalho & the Rock both still like their roles; Cravalho just isn’t playing her in the live-action for practical reasons.
So, Sports-Hulu?
Strange World had awful marketing; people didn’t seem to know what it was even about. (Elemental faced a similar problem last year, but it was at least able to get enough folks in early on to get the word-of-mouth train rolling.)
Season 1 of Game Changers was pretty good. I never got around to watching season 2 before they yanked it, but apparently they got rid of several characters (& not just for covid reasons like Estevez).
They’ve already talked about re-extending the window before streaming again.
Encanto & Moana were both in the top-10 most-streamed films of 2023.
So what you’re saying is that Lisa Frankenstein is gonna clean house next weekend?
Lover was her first with Republic instead of Big Machine; she owns those masters already.
