They said years ago they’d be interested in doing Secret Wars, so this isn’t THAT surprising.

As others have noted already: By his very nature, Kang is the most recastable character ever.

He’s funny, & I presume he treats her well. Those two traits go a *long* way.

The dumbest thing they did was not re-widen the theatrical exclusivity window when pandemic restrictions loosened.

The free ones (Tubi, Crackle, Freevee, Roku Channel, et cet) don’t require accounts, & newer TVs (or streaming boxes that attach to TVs) often come pre-loaded with them & have an overall universal search feature.

I wonder if Glass Onion only appeared in cinemas at all because Rian Johnson required it in his contract with Netflix.

HEARTBREAK FEELS GOOD IN A PLACE LIKE THIS!

To reiterate before the doom-&-gloomers chime in: season 2 was already written before DeMayo was fired

“Oh no, she called out that the complaint I tried to dismiss like a jerk couldn’t actually be easily dealt with in the film’s original release the way I spouted off without thinking! Better double-down to make sure nobody thinks I have the slightest shred of empathy!”

Did theaters have volume & mute buttons when the movie first opened?

Willie is hilarious. She’s *meant* to be aggravating. That is part of the fun of Indy’s attraction to her. If you’ve never been attracted to someone who annoys you then kudos.

If they pick up The Marvel Moment again, even just hitting one film a month, they’ll catch up by next fall.

there isn’t a Last Crusade set piece that’s as terrific as that truck chase in Raiders or the last 30 minutes of Doom.

Wait, this is an actual AV Club article, not clickbait BS. Have the new owners actually made things better?

I never saw the 60s cartoon either, but my parents made sure I heard the theme song as a kid.

Gotta keep the rating down.

I’d put Soul in the running for best animated films of all time.

Elemental had great word-of-mouth that led to it having crazy long legs & becoming the sleeper-hit of last summer. The problem was that the *trailers* sucked, so the opening was weak.

Soul, too; fantastic film. I actually went to the theater for it this past winter just because I was excited to see the afterlife/beforelife sequences with cinematic screen & sound. Did not disappoint. :)

The director was juggling a bunch of other stuff. Most of that other stuff is done now, & he dropped another project (the aforementioned Avengers 5!), so now he’s working on Shang-Chi 2.
