@brianmi40: I do this with everything. Any show I watch, any game I play, random major events... I have them all in logs.

@sugardeath: rsync does all the heavy lifting for me, but I use the other parts to make directory lists of all my drives. That way, I'll at least know exactly what I lost (and have a checklist for recovering) should everything fail at once.

@dano001: When it comes to file browsing, I use FileMenuTools + StExBar + AHK scripts + Listary + HandyFind + Launchy, all synced using DropBox. I'm long past overboard.
Bottom of my secondary monitor. Whatever I'm actively working on goes on my primary monitor, while references and resources go on my secondary monitor. The taskbar is clearly a resource, so it belongs on my secondary monitor!

@StormtrooprDave: Missing the point. Syncing is much better than backing up. Having your favorite food instantly appear when you are hungry is much better than taking a packed lunch with you everywhere.

The moment I get a new cable, I wrap the tips with duct tape. One strip all the way around, fold the overflow under the tab part. Given the strength of duct tape, the tabs are pretty much indestructible.
