Blame us Nordic folk for the idea, but any and all distortions past that are on the souls of the 70's, hahaha. That link is hoooooooorrrrible. I’m so upset at how tall it is, sliced ham and cheese, shredded lettuce, RANCH???

tbh I kind of like it, if it’s made well. It’s originally Swedish, it’s kind of a Nordic thing and a few of my relatives made really excellent versions when I got to visit Finland. That said, and bless the 70's for trying, I haven’t ever had a really good version in North America. Something got super lost in…
Oat milk showed up in my local grocery store a couple of weeks ago so I grabbed a carton to try. I get why people like it in coffee, and it’s nice if you’re just drinking a glass (MIL made some chocolate layer cake, which is pretty much the only food that requires a glass of milk in my world.)
AHAHAHA SANDWICH CAKE. I’m getting married next year, my dude’s mom and aunt want to throw me a shower, and in the initial ‘eeee let’s do it’ conversation they brought up making exactly that.
I can only assume that anyone who finds this cute isn’t a regular transit rider. That’s the only way these reactions make sense to me.
Yeah, part of me wants to love the spontaneity of it, but truthfully, I would be pretty grouchy about it if it was happening near me. At least it looks like it’s not that busy?
....Your first paragraph of questions seems kind of disingenous to me? It’s a very well-documented thread, for those that are looking for it, that women musicians have a tough go of it: that they’re constantly asked what it’s like to be ‘a girl in a band’ (Kim Gordon literally named her memoir that), articles break…
TBH I knew that already, but I’m adding a hefty dose of placebo positive thinking on top of the citrus. Also, I eat a grapefruit or a handful of clementines most winter days anyways so it’s just another excuse to eat EVEN MORE of something I like.
I didn’t say butternut was bad, I said it was overrated!! :)
I’m very superstitious about eating a big pile of citrus fruit at the first sign of a cold, then throughout - I don’t know if it actually shortens the sickness, but I believe, and in any case it can’t hurt.
From all of these replies....I think I must just have an iron scalp. I don’t have the world’s thickest hair, but I have a LOT of it, and it’s very slippery - a ponytail has to be fairly tight to stay in on me, and it needed a lot of pins/clips if it was going to stay back for sports. I’ve been in a few weddings, did…
I AM SO CONFUSED BY ALL OF THIS.
When I feel like I’m hitting a ceiling and the gym isn’t giving me a whoosh anymore, I’ve found a certain amount of success in changing up what I’m doing. Switching between endurance on the bike, intervals on the bike, and the elliptical for cardio.....arms/legs on alternating workouts on the resistance trainers, and…
Making puttanesca sauce is very easy and extremely delicious - no need to experience a breakup to welcome that skill into your life.
We’re spoiled in my area (Southern Ontario, Canada) for cider - two exceptionally delicious and creative cidermakers (cideries?) are within a short drive. I hear they’re expanding into NY state and are collaborating with folk on the other side of the border, but for now: other Ontarians...if Revel or West Avenue…
I am another person who does this! Sometimes I’ll even re-read them! I think I’ve re-read the Audition wiki at least a half dozen times and it is still very scary!
Frig and I thought I was doing well by doing some kind of cleaning most mornings. My coffee maker takes about as long to brew as it does for me to wash the dinner dishes, so it is usually that.
