the show has always been like that. people should’ve been outraged over how TOXIC all the relationships on the show are instead of all that “nerd blackface”

I don’t recognize any of these brands, but from ANY of the brands available around me (GTA, Canada - Delissio and Dr. Oetker seems most common, as per usual I also like President’s Choice) THE SPINACH PIZZA is always the best one. Hear me out.
I’ve never had a Payday bar so I just googled it and seems like they’re pretty similar in concept. The nougat in the Salted Nut Roll is different looking, though. The Payday is brownish like a Mars bar and the Salted Nut Roll’s is bright white. It reminds me in taste/texture of italian torrone.
I LOVE THESE. I grew up north of Minnesota in Canada and on road trips as kids we’d be allowed to get a Salted Nut Roll while the adults did their thing in the duty free.
.....was James Franco hoping that he could make it into Spring Breakers 2? Because that really sounds like he was trying to make Zola’s story into Spring Breakers 2.
I wonder how shoddily they’re made.....I kind of love the green velvet bootie but I could do without the baubles. (Am I the only one that figures out if embellishments I don’t like are easily removable?)
The go-to cookie for every lab meeting and nobody’s ever tired of them. I’m much more a salty-snacks person and I rarely eat sweets, but I’ll have a couple of those PC ones if you’ve got them.
I never commented on the old system but I do miss Dikachu.
He’s charming, though. Not saying you’re wrong, but most Riz-adjacent dudes that I encounter out and about know they’re hot and can be kind of annoying about it. Riz has a self-deprecating, humble air that means he could get it.
People have argued with me before (and I don’t disagree) that the way you perceive salt and sugar can be conditioned. Like, if you never eat candy, apples start to taste very sweet. If you mostly eat undersalted food, it probably tastes fine. Where this discussion breaks down for me is that there’s a huge chasm…
A POX ON ALL EXPENSIVE VEGETABLE-FOCUSED RESTAURANTS THAT DON’T SALT THEIR FOOD.
Oh jeez, I just talked shit on Toronto upthread by negatively comparing Toronto tacos to Austin tacos. The place we were staying was near a restaurant called ‘Juan In A Million’ on E. Cesar Chavez, and that’s where I would go weekly if I could. Is Juan In A Million true to its name, or is it just ‘Austin good’? It…
I AM SO DONE WITH HIPSTER TACOS. Sometimes they are tasty but it is 100% TRASH that they’ll charge like $6-7 for EACH!!! I had the pleasure of visiting Austin a few years ago and ever since then I’ve just been mad at overpriced, underflavoured bullshit so many places try to pass off around here (Toronto.)
Quicker than toast? I can shovel down a bowl of cereal maybe marginally faster than a toast with cream cheese or peanut butter but basically all cereals (including that delicious calorific Raisin Bran) leave me starving an hour later.
I posted on the article the Takeout had about this....I loved Trix as a kid, but the more I think about it, this feels like a bad gamble on the nostalgia cash-in. There are plenty of things I ate as a kid that were nutritional trash fires, but at least some of those had some redeeming qualities to my foodie-bullshit…
I appreciate you so much for this picture - I loved some Trix as a kid but I don’t remember any of that neon blue shit and for a second I thought I was losing it. ‘Blue’ is pretty much the only thing I don’t eat (gatorade, freezies, anything else ‘blue raspberry’, it is wrong to me and has been always) so I was like…
BUT HOW DID THEY MEET AGAIN??
I feel you and understand you 100%, this argument entirely makes sense to me, but also I’m going to take my moment. I’m barely an A/B cup with some wide-ol’ hips and a disproportionate butt so after a whole generation of boomers thirsting after Pamela Anderson’s DD’s I’m kind of enjoying that we’re taking the…
You don’t need to tell me about how much of a slog science is, and how boring that would be on screen (PhD candidate, plant mol bio, hi I feel you.) I’m just thirsty for representation of scientists in pop culture where they’re socially graceful or at least an average, non-cringe level of awkward. Like, on a show like…
A BIG YUP from this corner too. My parents love it, so I’ve seen the odd scene here and there when I’m in my hometown (and they are odd scenes, usually.) I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT to have a different cultural touchstone about STEM PhDs because this one is trash.
