I think this is a great article and I also think that the article Tavarish wrote yesterday has valid points. There is no "one size fits all" opinion for if leasing is good or bad. It depends on the SPECIFIC car, owner, end goal, financial situation, etc. I currently am leasing a 2014 S4 and I spent about 10 months

Many car buyers couldn't care less about ownership and just want to drive something new with nice features at a payment they afford. Financial wisdom be damned.

In 2012 I bought a 2009 Miata GT PRHT with 11,000 miles for $19K and a 2008 Acura TSX with 130,000 miles for $10K. So effectively I paid the new price for the Miata and got a reliable daily driver with heated seats, sunroof, power everything, and a manual transmission, as a bonus.

I've only done regular

Leasing is like donating to the general buying poor, and a large donation sum at that. You're paying the first 3 or 4 years of the car, when depreciation is at its deepest. The car is then sold for almost half of its original cost. The dealer makes money on it, TWICE. The second owner also benefits significantly.
