I’ve dated exactly one woman that was genuinely into cars. She broke my finger helping me install a sway bar in one of my cars and electrocuted me when I was installing a new head unit into her car. And then she slept with my roommate.

This was my same experience when moving here 6 months ago. The problem is, it’s a great city for cars in that cool ones are all over the roads, yet it’s a terrible city for auto enthusiasts because you have to spend a million dollars to have a house with any sort of room to tinker. My wife used to watch “New Old” Top Gear with me and somewhat enjoyed it. She has definitely been removed from the Top Gear rumor mill and we set down to watch the second one together. Half way through she said “this is awful, I can’t watch it anymore”.
