Truth. When I told my buddy I was considering a C6Z, he immediately told me to google “Corvette driver” and the above images popped up. After some merciless ribbing by some other friends, I decided not to go with the Vette. Image, while hard to admit, does have an effect.

Just replace Chris Evans with Rowan Atkinson. Or anybody that won’t try too hard to be funny.

Um, same running costs as my Porsche. Dude, thanks for opening my eyes. Now, to convince the wife....

Would you take out a HELOC, or borrow against your 401(k) to buy classic car?

Beautiful! That’s my end goal as well, but I’m happy with 250hp and the point-and-shoot feel so far. Cheers!

CRod, I am Rod S. I have just purchased a 986 Boxster S, which I think, is an even better entry point to the P-Car world. 50% of the cost of a 996 and 33% of a 997, 85% of the fun, with slightly better handling. It’s so uncool to drive a Boxster that it’s starting to be cool again.

Owning a 911 has been a dream for a long time. So I found the correct one,a 997 in the correct color, correct miles and great price. Test drove it, and was totally underwhelmed. Maybe I did not do a proper test drive, but I felt nothing that I was supposed to feel. None of that Porsche drama or sound. Nothing felt

Once a salesman tried to sell me a Paseo, saying that the supply couldn’t keep up with the demand. Couldn’t stop laughing at his face. Feel bad about it now.

Why buy a new M2 when you can by an E30 M3, an E36 M3 AND an E46 M3 for the same price?

I’m glad they’re getting some awesome exposure. I used them to purchase a daily driver and got a great deal. Shift sent an “enthusiast” to my house for a test drive, inked a deal, and the guy Ubered home. FANTASTICALLY easy. You still have to be a decent consumer though, and price shop. But the specific car I acquired

A facelifted 996.2 would be great for $25k

Wouldn’t one rather buy a used Tesla Model S in 2018 or 2019 at a comparable cost?

That’s a beautiful Mazda 3.

The Abarth is ridiculous. Most of the time, driving it makes me giggle like a ten year old discovering the internet. The only thing that sucks is that makes aaaaaaaaaaaall that snarly noise only to barely keep up with the Sienna in the next lane.

Was she nursing the semi?

Why buy a Fiat 124 when you can get a 300 hp 996 for (maybe) half the price?

Late to the game, and I am breaking the rules by not submitting a car from e-bay, but:

this one made my nose burnt a little.

The economy runs on ignorance. We all exchange money for many things that we have no concept of value of. Fortunately, we know cars and their intrinsic values, more or less. So, if you’re willing to drop $50-$60k on an object, know its value. This guy was an asshole because he failed at basic research.

But is it grounded to the ground? Anyway, I appreciate all of the safety and emission advances that ultimately will make the world a better place. But for the love of being in communion with a machine, I will never get rid of my P1800, MR2 or Abarth. Ever. Only add, but never replace.
