With the glaring exception of the rear end (blarg) I’m impressed with how much GM got right on this, design-wise. Even the interior is reasonably inoffensive. The whole “looks like a Lambo, sounds like a muscle car” is also quite fun IMHO. For power, a factory ~1000bhp hybrid Corvette should be interesting news for…
Just keep building the 4Runner in Japan in the same factory as the Land Cruiser and various Lexus models, I like feeling upmarket.

Nearly everyone I work with has a STEM PhD and I have to keep them from accidentally killing themselves on a near-daily basis. You get wrapped up in your work like that and everything else just falls away, including your preservation instinct.
Agreed on the sill height, I like to be able to lean out the window a bit when offroading and it’s impossible in the 5th gen.
I love that about them, honestly. Throwing technology into a car to drive up the price and cover up for reliability issues doesn’t do a thing for me. The only thing I’d ask for with my 2016 Limited is more power for the mpg and Android Auto.
And the current gen 4Runner is selling better than ever, I should know I just bought one haha. I chalk it up to not fixing what isn’t broke, but I’m not impressed by gluing an iPad to the dash of a car and calling it progress, either.
I just want an updated version of my old Saabaru.
It’s still ok, encouraged even, to insult people’s sexuality provided you don’t agree with them.
Hey at least they got the F part right.
Just like how Cap’n Crunch was originally marketed as an industrial tumbling abrasive for use the carbide industry.
