He cheated on Mickey when he was manic, though. Is that truly fair? And he did that porno because in his mind, he was earning money for them. I don't think he would do that now. Again, I tend to excuse Ian's behavior despite my love for Mickey.
I would love for someone to say, "Douchebag, go find your boyfriend," to Ian.
I was a huge fan of The State when I was a teen. I'll watch her in anything.
That's true. But Ian was honest with Trevor. He knew he fucked up. He came clean to the person he hurt. So, that's something.
When I said 'build a case,' I meant that Ian's reason for leaving Mickey was that 'he wasn't that guy anymore.' So, If Ian and Mickey somehow reconnect in S8, either the writers have to show that Ian is still that guy, or they have to show that Mickey has changed.
I'm okay with Ian cheating on romantic interests that aren't Mickey because then I don't have to invest anything in those relationships. It's petty and ridiculous and yet I still root for it.
Frankly, it shows growth that Ian was honest with Trevor. But it's also a plot contrivance. If they do continue their relationship, it will be tenuous. Which may set up a Mickey return! I have a one-track mind.
I basically watched this season just waiting for Mickey to show up. I wasn't giving any of Ian's romantic interests a chance. I may never.
I wasn't quite clear why Ian was honest with Trevor, but not his family. I feel like if anyone would understand Ian's decision-making regarding Mickey, it would be Fiona or Lip who knew his history with Mickey.
I'm going to miss these recaps and discussions as much as I'll miss the show.
I had to Google 'Goatse.' Oh, the innocent am I.
This is my new favorite show of 2016. I want to see more seasons so I hope it gets more press.
And yet Mickey didn't seem to make that connection. It would never occur to Mickey to abandon Ian even if they weren't together.
I wish Jesus had helped Mickey out. Said something like, "My buddy Javier will help you out. Meet him at such-and-such location." And then Mickey turns up to meet Javier and Damon's with him. And Damon and Mickey go to Mexico. Damon speaks Spanish. He's a nice guy and an ally which is what Mickey needs.
But, how would Mickey know? I never got the impression contact between him and Svetlana was maintained.
I loved Mandy but even I had to agree that she probably didn't think much of Mickey when he was in prison. It's the nature of growing up in that family.
They could call it, "Viva Micks-ico."
Lube! Finally, in 7 seasons, it's mentioned! That was oddly satisfying to hear.
Wouldn't that be crazy irony? Mickey is a free man, but Ian isn't. But Mickey would come back and break Ian out of prison because that's how Mickey Milkovich loves.
