For whatever reason I thought it said prep your meals outside. And I think I will. That sounds like the perfect place to slice up a watermelon, chop lettuce, break down broccoli, ... The waste can just get tossed in the garden at the end. Thanks lifehacker!

Vote: airport extreme. Ours has been rock solid for years. Works with lion server to do RADIUS authentication. The only bad thing is it makes the modem and cable box next to it look awful.

The amount of stupid comments people make is my biggest annoyance. It could also be facebook's biggest source of revenue - allow editing posts/messages for $0.05, deleting for $1.00. It'd help class up facebook again and give them some more money, win-win.

That's awesome. I never ended up needing the programs on tests though, they just made the homework go by much quicker. I found that after writing the program and testing it, I had everything memorized.

Same here. Never made any games, but had a couple trig, chemistry, and physics programs that were awesome.

Are there bicycling directions in the new maps app?

Mostly clean peanut butter jars make excellent dog toys/treats. Our lab will spend hours making sure she gets every last bit.

I have the road version. Amazingly comfortable. Easily the best running shoe I've ever owned. The soles seem to be wearing quickly though (250-300 miles in 2 months).

Manufacturing uses funny math. Some factories assume an 80% efficient employee, so you could give up to 125%.

I had no idea they were so cheap now. I hadn't looked at the stickers before - only the fobs and keycards. At 15 cents a piece, I could put them everywhere...

That price looks pretty good for experimenting with - certainly cheaper than RFID tags were last time I checked.

"I can't find Mike R in your address book."

If you've got a Mac server, you can set up RADIUS authentication using airport routers. It looks like this'll also do a seperate guest network like the Extreme. But for most people, it's a simple to configure router that looks nice and comes with great support.

I had a feeling they would make the Express match the Apple TV. It looks good - it's too bad the Extreme and Time Capsule didn't get refreshed.

Too bad it's the iTunes/App store and not the Apple Store as well. That'd be awesome to buy an iPad and get $50 in free accessories.

I really want to wear one into an Apple store.

I hope someday (soon), we start using puzzles/games to prove we're human. I'd much rather play connect the dots than try to figure out what the hidden word is.

The NY Times link goes into more detail. They said fitness level, weight, age, gender, etc. were all ruled out.

This is a great idea.

I wouldn't recommend the tug-a-jug to anyone. We got one as a gift and our (at the time) 5 month old lab would either get all the food out instantly or get frustrated when the knot gets stuck. In either case it quickly became a shin-targeting polycarbonate wrecking ball.
