The title of this article and then the content make no sense. “Why won’t Marvel trust directors” and then about how Marvel trusted Zhao to do what she wanted. And she’s said nothing but “they let me do what I wanted and were there to help if I needed it.

I’m secure in my own opinions that I don’t need validation from some auteur director that the things I like are good. I just like the things I like.

Remember the South Park episode where they had their fictional gay character say that private businesses should have the right to discriminate against LGBT+ people?

Miller’s Dark Knight Returns is a genuine classic with a baleful influence on the next 30 years of comics.

I tell this story to the kids I encounter on the Internets.

I was 12 when Return of the Jedi came out. Sometime before the movie, I stumbled across a magazine where Anthony Daniels was interviewed. The interviewer asked him about Han Solo and whether he got out of carbon-freeze.

Daniels, “Well, I saw Harrison Ford on

“We wanted to reference the three laws, but didn’t want to get sued, so we bought this IP and jettisoned everything else.”

Despite many aspects seeming campy or clunky in retrospect, I would love to see non-ironic, faithful  adaptations of  Caves of Steel and The Naked Sun.

I didn’t see yours before I posted. I also added welcome to the machine. And there are really so many more, PoI really was one of the best shows in how... Well, just one of the best shows.

Not sure if they’re needle drops or just soundtrack, but Person of Interest has two that are just outstanding.

Person of Interest doesn’t get enough respect. First, for being one of the best science fiction series ever made; and second, for its killer needle drops. For example:

I totally agree! I had to add it in the list because they were pretty badass women especially Xianniang, but totally missed opportunity for an amazing team up.

Dark. Hard not to spoil something but Martha and Jonas are rather important to the whole story.

But it does make for a lousy mystery.

Not to mention, a really big portion of TNG’s run was utter garbage sprinkled in with some absolutely brilliant TV.

It feels like the grade is how good the show is technically, while the review is about how closely it matches Zack’s particular vision of Star Trek in his head.

no need to google anything

She needs to burn in hell for fanning the flames of stupidity that are already out of control.

I’m happy to hear I’m not the only one with a rage boner for this commercial. The previous plugs for this stationary bicycle (only toddlers and assholes call it “spinning”) feature an insufferable gallery of young, blandly attractive rich assholes in the heat of orgiastic body narcissism were bad enough. Here, though,

This seems very stockholmy.
