Same story here. I rented an N64 and Quest 64 and had to leave the console on all weekend. I wasn’t about to push my luck and ask for a memory card since I’m still shocked my mom gave blockbuster that $100 deposit for the rental to happen.

Luke, have you played Ostriv? It’s releasing on Steam at some point soon. I put a bunch of hours into the alpha that the developer released on the Humble store and it’s different (and difficult) enough to keep me playing and wanting more.

I had to remind myself that it would be over in a minute and I’d get to build a new city soon. I replayed the original on an emulator recently and abused the hell out of the save state feature to plow through the bad parts.

I’m buying it just to reward them for trying. ActRaiser was one of my favorites growing up and I can still remember the disappointment that I felt when I got home with the sequel.
