I thought I would read this article until I saw it was a slideshow. I don’t want to click through 15 screens in what could have been a single article.

I guess I’ll never know which to get because I’m not clicking through 11 slides to read an article. What a waste of time.

My kid is 6 now and we love playing Super Mario 3d World, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros together. We are both looking forward to seeing it soon!

I’m getting real Wizards of the Coast vibes with the “leaked” OGL for Dungeons & Dragons that was doing the typical corporate cash grab. They ended up having to walk it back due to outrage and people cancelling D&D Beyond subscriptions.

I have a few problems with the new OGL.

I’ve learned that corporations are not friends. An apology means nothing if the new language of the 1.1 doesn’t line up with what is promised.

Your comment is a bit ignorant. It’s definitely not magic, but they do have technology that makes a faster implementation than your traditional computer SSD.

They developed their own custom I/O chip for decompression. Also the GPU has direct access to the drive sort of like DirectStorage will have on Windows in the near future.

And the PS5 can transfer compressed data at almost 9 GB/s due to its custom I/O chip for hardware accelerated decompression.

I suspect that on the PS5 Returnal takes heavy advantage of the insanely fast storage and the GPU’s direct access to the SSD. While an NVMe SSD in a PC gets close, the SSD in the PS5 is still faster. To mimic the insanely fast SSD of the PS5 the game is loading more assets into RAM instead. The DirectStorage API in

$65 million in fraud on $600 billion is a drop in the bucket.

Once again, being a pirate has its advantages. I’ve been playing on my modded Switch for several days and all the reviewers are correct. However, with a nice overclock a lot of the frame drop problems have gone away.

Great review.

Hard hitting journalism here just repeating bunk data with no verification of the source. Why bother with this website again?

Sone curators are also journalist outlets. They could have played the game on another platform (Epic, GoG, etc). They could have played with a beta or press key that has been revoked. A professional outlet (like Kotaku) may have had their reviewer redeem the key on their own personal account rather than the branded

Usually I’d expect a price decrease from Nintendo by this time in the console’s life cycle. It’s been over 5 years and no price change. Nintendo keeping the same price is in a way a kind of de facto price increase.

Is this only for new subscribers? Or can I stock up on a few months to extend my current sub?

That Ocarina of Time Beta Showcase was the best bit of GDQ I’ve seen in years. It was genuinely a labor of love and made this grown man shed a few tears. If you watch nothing else from GDQ this year, watch that “run”.
