Guess i just miss the magic of early 2000s. WoW, Diablo 2, Startcraft, age of empires 2, asherons call, warcraft 3, unreal tournament, unreal, baldurs gate 2, just few examples were quality passion, spirit, ideas, was a fine wine, now i feel like watered downed $5 wine, and is consumed just to get the buz.

I’m not sure you understand any of the how and why of this, union will not solve the crunch issues. The only thing that can solve crunch is a drastic change to the structure of marketing and selling games, getting rid of scheduled annual trade shows, and changing the mindset about what a game ‘should’ cost.

Honestly a coffee shop geared towards gamers, instead of work from “home” office folks, is somewhere I might actually hang out. I’m not sure GameStop is the brand I trust for this, but the idea has some merit at least.
